When Bigger is Better: Lanthanum Complexes of Bis(phenoxy-amidine) FAlen Ligands as Unique Catalysts for the Isoselective Ring-Opening Polymerization of Racemic β-Lactones. [PDF]

open access: yesAngew Chem Int Ed Engl
Discrete lanthanum complexes supported by new bis(phenoxy‐amidine) ligands act as highly efficient ring‐opening polymerization (ROP) catalysts of simple and functional β‐propiolactones rac‐BLR under mild conditions, returning in a controlled manner the corresponding linear polymers PBLR with high isoselectivity, no matter the nature and polarity of the

Pregnancy and perinatal outcomes in women with recurrent pregnancy loss-A case-control study. [PDF]

open access: yesActa Obstet Gynecol Scand
History of recurrent pregnancy loss is associated with greater risks for hypertensive pregnancy disorders, placental problems, and preterm birth in the subsequent pregnancy. These pregnancies require careful follow‐up and support. Abstract Introduction Recurrent pregnancy loss (RPL), defined as two or more pregnancy losses, might be associated with ...

Manganese‐catalyzed Dehydrogenation of Amido Alcohols with Liberation of Hydrogen for the Synthesis of Oxazoles

open access: yesChemCatChem, Volume 15, Issue 22, November 22, 2023., 2023
The synthesis of oxazoles from abundantly and diversely available and inexpensive starting materials such as esters and amino alcohols is reported. Our reaction proceeds via liberation of hydrogen and a molecular manganese catalyst mediates it most efficiently.

Trichophyton mentagrophytes complex: A retrospective study of 64 dogs from the Central United States (1997–2020)

open access: yesVeterinary Dermatology, Volume 34, Issue 4, Page 310-317, August 2023., 2023
Background – There are limited clinical studies evaluating the Trichophyton mentagrophytes complex, with most reports confined to small case studies. Additionally, the studies are dated and provide limited information on response to newer or currently available therapies.

Subleading contributions to the three-nucleon contact interaction [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
We obtain a minimal form of the two-derivative three-nucleon contact Lagrangian, by imposing all constraints deriving from discrete symmetries, Fierz identities and Poincare' covariance.

Exploring m6A‐RNA methylation as a potential therapeutic strategy for acute lung injury and acute respiratory distress syndrome

open access: yesPulmonary Circulation, Volume 13, Issue 2, April 2023., 2023
Abstract N6‐methyladenosine (m6A) is the most common methylation modification in mammalian messenger RNA (mRNA) and noncoding RNAs. m6A modification plays a role in the regulation of gene expression and deregulation of m6A methylation has been implicated in many human diseases.

TOGOLESE ECONOMY: WHAT TEACHING ON THE THRESHOLD OF INDEBTEDNESS?

open access: yesRevue des Etudes Multidisciplinaires en Sciences Economiques et Sociales, 2019
If it has been empirically demonstrated that public debt has a positive impact on investment and growth as long as it remains below a given optimal threshold, beyond that threshold, the debt becomes unsustainable.

Flux crystal growth of Ba2[(UO2)2Ti2O8]: Structures, spectroscopies and implications

open access: yesJournal of the American Ceramic Society, Volume 106, Issue 2, Page 1381-1390, February 2023., 2023
We report a flux crystal growth of Ba2[(UO2)2Ti2O8], and subsequent structural and spectroscopic studies using multiple techniques including synchrotron single crystal X‐ray diffraction and X‐ray absorption near‐edge structure spectroscopy. In addition, its vibrational modes and thermal stability were investigated.
