Non-perturbative Pion Matrix Element of a twist-2 operator from the Lattice [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004
We give a continuum limit value of the lowest moment of a twist-2 operator in pion states from non-perturbative lattice calculations. We find that the non-perturbatively obtained renormalization group invariant matrix element is _{RGI} = 0.179(11), which

O44 ENHANCED RECOVERY AFTER SURGERY (ERAS) IN PATIENTS UNDERGOING COMPLEX ABDOMINAL WALL RECONSTRUCTION (AWR) [PDF]

open access: yesBritish Journal of Surgery, 2021
Abstract Aim Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) is often conceptually associated with hospital length of stay (LOS), but its true purpose is the application of best science to achieve best patient outcomes.

Perturbative renormalization of bilinear quark and gluon operators [PDF]

open access: yes, 1996
The renormalisation constants for local bilinear quark operators are calculated using the Sheikholeslami-Wohlert improved action. In addition we compute the renormalisation constant of the leading gluon operator for different group representations and ...

Orbital-Controlled Superconductivity in f-Electron Systems [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
We propose a concept of superconductivity controlled by orbital degree of freedom taking CeMIn5 (M= Co, Rh, and Ir) as typical examples. A microscopic multiorbital model for CeMIn5 is analyzed by fluctuation exchange approximation.

O44: WOUND HEALING INFLAMMATORY MARKERS PREDICT PROGNOSIS AND SURVIVAL IN EARLY BREAST CANCER [PDF]

open access: yesBritish Journal of Surgery, 2021
Abstract Introduction Cancer is likened to a non-healing wound. There is limited evidence on the expression of wound healing tissue inflammatory markers, CD68(pan-macrophage marker), HO-1(tumour cell marker) and FAP(cancer-associated fibroblast marker) in human breast cancer.

Panel Estimation of the Environmental Kuznets Curve for CO2 Emissions and Ecological Footprint: Environmental Sustainability in Developing Countries

open access: yesFolia Oeconomica Stetinensia, 2022
Research background: The relationship between the economy and the environment is one of the most frequently encountered issues recently. Today the issue of environmental sustainability is one of the problems faced by countries.

Understanding the challenge of decoupling transport-related CO2 emissions from economic growth in developing countries

open access: yesWorld Development Sustainability, 2023
The transition to net zero requires full decarbonization of the transport sector, currently one of the leading sources of emissions globally. Transport-related carbon emissions are growing fastest in the developing world.

Energy Consumption and Economic Growth Linkage: Global Evidence from Symmetric and Asymmetric Simulations

open access: yesQuaestiones Geographicae, 2022
The literature reveals that linear models do not accurately represent the asymmetric relationship between economic growth and energy consumption (EC).

The Effect of Exports on Carbon Dioxide Emissions: Policy Implications

open access: yesInternational Journal of Management and Economics, 2016
The purpose of this study is to explore long run affiliations between exports and carbon dioxide emissions. This paper examines thirty-seven countries over the period 1960 to 2010 and uses the Toda and Yamamoto causality approach to investigate the ...

Matrix model holography [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
We set up the formalism of holographic renormalization for the matter-coupled two-dimensional maximal supergravity that captures the low-lying fluctuations around the non-conformal D0-brane near-horizon geometry.
