Enteroinvasive Escherichia coli strains have been found in the following O serogroups: O28ac, O112ac, O124, O136, O143, O144, O152, and O164. The biochemical reactions of these enteroinvasive E. coli strains are often similar to those of Shigella strains, and identification may be difficult.

Structural studies of the O-antigen from Vibrio cholerae O:21
Carbohydrate Research, 1986The O-antigen from Vibrio cholerae O:21 has been investigated, using n.m.r. spectroscopy, methylation analysis, and Smith degradation as the main methods. It is concluded that the O-antigen is composed of tetrasaccharide repeating-units having the following structure (in which Hep = D-glycero-D-manno-heptose). (Formula: see text).

Structural studies of the Vibrio cholerae O:5 O-antigen polysaccharide
Carbohydrate Research, 1993The O-polysaccharide from Vibrio cholerae O:5 has been investigated, using NMR spectroscopy as the main method. Fast atom bombardment mass spectrometry (FABMS) studies of fragments obtained on treatment with anhydrous hydrogen fluoride or methanolic hydrogen chloride gave further structural information.

Structure of the O-antigen of Yersinia pseudotuberculosis O:4a revised
Carbohydrate Research, 2009The O-specific polysaccharide was isolated by mild acid degradation of the lipopolysaccharide of Yersinia pseudotuberculosis O:4a and studied by NMR spectroscopy, including 2D ROESY and (1)H, (13)C HMBC experiments. The following structure of the pentasaccharide repeating unit of the polysaccharide was established, which differs from the structure ...

Abstract In this short communication, a report is presented on the antigenic relationship(s) between type strains in genus Hanseniaspora, Kloeckera and the O antigens of E. coli (O:75, O:163), S. cholerae-suis (O : 62, 7) and S. aberdeen (O:11).
