ABSTRACT While oasis settlements emerged during the Bronze Age in Eastern and Northern Arabia, the settlement process in Central Arabia was different. Excavations at al‐Yamāma—main ancient settlement of the al‐Kharj oasis (Riyadh Province, KSA)—suggest that the latter did not emerge before the second half of the first millennium BCE.

Planned cesarean section or attempted vaginal delivery: Which is more environmentally friendly? An observational life cycle assessment study in France

Acta Obstetricia et Gynecologica Scandinavica, EarlyView.
In this life cycle assessment study conducted in a French hospital, attempted vaginal delivery showed substantially lower environmental impacts than planned cesarean section, including reduced greenhouse gas emissions, resource use, and water consumption, highlighting its greater environmental sustainability in childbirth care.
