The prior statistics of object colors

open access: yesJournal of the Optical Society of America A, 2010
The prior statistics of object colors is of much interest because extensive statistical investigations of reflectance spectra reveal highly non-uniform structure in color space common to several very different databases. This common structure is due to the visual system rather than to the statistics of environmental structure.

RON: Reverse Connection with Objectness Prior Networks for Object Detection [PDF]

open access: yes2017 IEEE Conference on Computer Vision and Pattern Recognition (CVPR), 2017
We present RON, an efficient and effective framework for generic object detection. Our motivation is to smartly associate the best of the region-based (e.g., Faster R-CNN) and region-free (e.g., SSD) methodologies. Under fully convolutional architecture, RON mainly focuses on two fundamental problems: (a) multi-scale object localization and (b ...

A Unified Object Counting Network With Object Occupation Prior

open access: yesIEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems for Video Technology
The counting task, which plays a fundamental role in numerous applications (e.g., crowd counting, traffic statistics), aims to predict the number of objects with various densities. Existing object counting tasks are designed for a single object class. However, it is inevitable to encounter newly coming data with new classes in our real world.

On the implementation of local probability matching priors for interest parameters [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
Probability matching priors are priors for which the posterior probabilities of certain specified sets are exactly or approximately equal to their coverage probabilities.

Informative g-Priors for Mixed Models

open access: yesStats, 2023
Zellner’s objective g-prior has been widely used in linear regression models due to its simple interpretation and computational tractability in evaluating marginal likelihoods.

Carcinomas and Carcinoid Tumors of the Lungs and Bronchi in Children and Adolescents: The EXPeRT Recommendations

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Primary lung carcinomas and bronchial carcinoid tumors (BC) are very rare malignancies in childhood. While typical BC and mucoepidermoid carcinomas are mostly low‐grade, localized tumors with a more favorable prognosis than in adults, necessitating avoidance of overtreatment, adenocarcinomas of the lung are often diagnosed at advanced disease ...

Dark Channel Based Multiframe Super-Resolution Reconstruction

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2021
Multiframe super-resolution (MFSR) can obtain a high-resolution image from a set of low-resolution images. The performance of super-resolution is affected by the image prior information.

European Standard Clinical Practice Guideline and EXPeRT Recommendations for the Diagnosis and Management of Gastroenteropancreatic Neuroendocrine Neoplasms in Children and Adolescents

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Pediatric gastroenteropancreatic neuroendocrine neoplasms (GEP‐NENs) are extremely rare and clinically heterogeneous. Management has largely been extrapolated from adult practice. This European Standard Clinical Practice Guideline (ESCP), developed by the EXPeRT network in collaboration with adult NEN experts, provides (adult) evidence ...

An Objective Bayesian Criterion to Determine Model Prior Probabilities [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
We discuss the problem of selecting among alternative parametric models within the Bayesian framework. For model selection problems which involve non-nested models, the common objective choice of a prior on the model space is the uniform distribution ...

Clinical and Biological Features of Response in Resistant Neuroblastoma to 131I‐Metaiodobenzylguanidine Radiotherapy in the Anti‐GD2 Immunotherapy Era

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background 131I‐metaiodobenzylguanidine (131I‐MIBG) radiotherapy is a key treatment for relapsed and refractory (R/R) neuroblastoma (NB). Patients with R/R disease treated in the modern era are increasingly exposed to anti‐GD2 immunotherapy, which exerts selective pressure and may modify both tumor cell state and microenvironment.
