Motion of the Infinitesimal Variable Mass in the Generalized Circular Restricted Three-Body Problem under the Effect of Asteroids Belt

open access: yesAdvances in Astronomy, 2020
The present paper deals with the study of the motion’s properties of the infinitesimal variable mass body moving in the same orbital plan as two massive bodies (considered as primaries).

Benchmarking Coaxial and Angular Optical Emission Spectroscopy With Recommendations for Reliable Compositional In Situ Monitoring During Laser Powder Bed Fusion

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Real‐time insight into local chemistry is critical for reliable part quality in additive manufacturing, especially laser powder bed fusion (PBF‑LB/M), where rapid thermal cycles and localized evaporation can undermine part performance. Optical emission spectroscopy (OES) offers non‑intrusive, in situ plume monitoring, but detection geometry ...

A Compact Incubation Platform for Long‐Term Cultivation of Biological Samples for Nitrogen‐Vacancy Center Widefield Microscopy

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
A compact incubation platform enables long‐term cultivation of biological samples directly on diamond quantum sensors for NV widefield magnetometry. The 3D‐printed biocompatible chamber provides a temperature controlled, CO2${\rm CO}_2$ and humidity rich environment while accommodating total internal reflection excitation geometry.

More Likely Than You Think: Inclination-driving Secular Resonances Are Common in Known Exoplanet Systems

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal
Multiplanet systems face significant challenges to detection. For example, farther-orbiting planets have a reduced signal-to-noise ratio in radial velocity detection methods, and small mutual inclinations between planets can prevent them from all ...

Global optimum spacecraft orbit control subject to bounded thrust in presence of nonlinear and random disturbances in a low earth orbit

open access: yesEgyptian Journal of Remote Sensing and Space Sciences, 2012
The primary objective of this work is to develop an effective spacecraft orbit control algorithm suitable for spacecraft orbital maneuver and/or rendezvous. The actual governing equation of a spacecraft orbiting the earth is merely nonlinear. Disturbance

Buckling‐Driven Linearity in Flexible Capacitive Pressure Sensors Based on a Three‐Dimensional Dual‐Pore Polyurethane Structure

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
A flexible pressure sensor utilizing a 3D dual‐pore polyurethane structure is developed to overcome the intrinsic trade‐off between sensitivity and linearity. By inducing sequential buckling through distinct pore sizes and shapes, the device achieves highly linear and sensitive responses across a wide pressure range.

Micro-Satellite Attitude Determination with Only a Single Horizon Sensor

open access: yesMATEC Web of Conferences, 2016
Through using measurement from only a single horizon sensor, this paper presented a quaternion-based 3-axis attitude determination method, which can be implemented on board micro-satellites and applied over a whole orbital period.

Multidirectional Motion Strategy of Miniature Water Surface Robot Actuated by Single Exciter

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
A novel multidirectional motion strategy on the water surface based on a single exciter is proposed, and a single‐exciter single‐plate module is developed for actuation. The driving forces generation mechanism of the module is revealed from the perspective of the asymmetric surface wave field.
