Obstructed Hemivagina with Ipsilateral Renal Anomaly

Journal of Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology, 2016
The association of obstructed hemivagina with ipisilateral renal anomaly (OHVIRA) is a well-described entity. While there has been an increased familiarity with this disorder, the exact incidence of OHVIRA is unknown. Our aim was to review the available literature on this topic, look at common presentations, and uncommon presentations.

Uterus Didelphys with Obstructed Hemivagina and Multicystic Dysplastic Kidney

European Journal of Pediatric Surgery, 2005
Müllerian malformations include a broad range of anomalies, resulting from the incomplete formation and/or differentiation of the Müllerian ducts. The uterus didelphys with obstructed hemivagina represents the result of a lateral nonfusion of the Müllerian ducts with asymmetric obstruction, and it is almost always associated with renal agenesis.

Obstructed Hemivagina in the Adolescent: A Diagnostic Challenge

Journal of Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology, 2014
Conclusion: The study demonstrates that adolescent girls presenting with clitoromegaly are likely to seek clitoral reduction surgery despite potential impairment to clitoral sensitivity and uncertain long-term physical or psychological benefit.
