Obstructions to Shellability [PDF]
We consider a simplicial complex generaliztion of a result of Billera and Meyers that every nonshellable poset contains the smallest nonshellable poset as an induced subposet. We prove that every nonshellable $2$-dimensional simplicial complex contains a nonshellable induced subcomplex with less than $8$ vertices.

Study of the passage of low-frequency ultrasonic vibrations through heterogeneous biological media during ultrasonic sanitation of urological catheters [PDF]
The purpose of this article is to study the features of the passage of ultrasonic vibrations through inhomogeneous biological media. To achieve the goal, a mathematical model for the propagation of ultrasonic vibrations in heterogeneous media has been

Effect of Perineal Urethrostomy on the Length of the Urethra of the Cat: A Cadaveric Study
Perineal urethrostomy in cats is indicated for urethral pathologies located distal to the bulbourethral glands. The description of the bulbourethral glands as the cranial landmark when performing a PU is based on the increased urethral diameter at this ...

Influence of Gradually Inflated Obstructions on Flame Propagation in a Tube Closed at One End
Rapid suppression is a must in the mitigation of ventilation air methane (VAM) explosions. Flame suppression proves to be much more challenging than prevention of flame initiation due to the small physics timescale (~1 s).
