Primary Localised Amyloidosis of Urethra Presenting as a Penile Stricture [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Clinical and Diagnostic Research, 2018
Amyloidosis is characterized by the deposition of fibrillar proteins by either plasma cells or derived from circulating proteins, the former especially involved in pathogenesis of localised amyloidosis.

Log Structures on Generalized Semi-Stable Varieties

open access: yes, 2007
This is my PhD Thesis, part of it has published in Acta Mathematica Sinica. In this paper, a class of morphisms which have a kind of singularity weaker than normal crossing is considered.

Diverticulum of the urinary bladder [PDF]

open access: yesMedicinski Glasnik Specijalne Bolnice za Bolesti Štitaste Žlezde i Bolesti Metabolizma "Zlatibor"
Bladder diverticulum involves herniations of the mucosa between the smooth muscle fibers of the detrusor. Causes can be acquired, congenital and iatrogenic.

Hydrodynamic obstruction to bubble expansion

open access: yes, 2010
We discuss a hydrodynamic obstruction to bubble wall acceleration during a cosmological first-order phase transition. The obstruction results from the heating of the plasma in the compression wave in front of the phase transition boundary.

European Standard Clinical Practice Guideline and EXPeRT Recommendations for the Diagnosis and Management of Gastroenteropancreatic Neuroendocrine Neoplasms in Children and Adolescents

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Pediatric gastroenteropancreatic neuroendocrine neoplasms (GEP‐NENs) are extremely rare and clinically heterogeneous. Management has largely been extrapolated from adult practice. This European Standard Clinical Practice Guideline (ESCP), developed by the EXPeRT network in collaboration with adult NEN experts, provides (adult) evidence ...

Why and When Are Evidence‐Based Interventions Adopted in Paediatric Supportive Care? A Qualitative Exploration of the Determinants of Photobiomodulation Implementation

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Oral mucositis is a common and debilitating side effect of childhood cancer and stem cell transplant treatments. It affects the quality of life of children and young people (CYP) and places a strain on services. Photobiomodulation is recommended for oral mucositis prevention in international guidance but is poorly implemented in UK ...

Sirolimus for Extracranial Arteriovenous Malformations: A Scoping Review of the Evidence in Syndromic and Non‐Syndromic Cases

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Arteriovenous malformations (AVMs) are rare, high‐flow, vascular anomalies that can occur either sporadically or as part of a genetic syndrome. AVMs can progress with serious morbidity and even mortality if left unchecked. Sirolimus is an mTOR inhibitor that is effective in low‐flow vascular malformations; however, its role in AVMs is unclear.

Anabelian geometry and descent obstructions on moduli spaces

open access: yes, 2016
We study the section conjecture of anabelian geometry and the sufficiency of the finite descent obstruction to the Hasse principle for the moduli spaces of principally polarized abelian varieties and of curves over number fields.
