Comparison of the sealing ability of four obturation techniques

This study compared the apical seal produced by four obturation techniques. The Canal Finder system was compared with lateral condensation, the Ultrafil system, and the sectional warm gutta-percha techniques. Forty-two anterior single-rooted teeth were instrumented. Ten teeth were not obturated and served as positive and negative controls.

Technique for quick conversion of an obturator into a hollow bulb

Root strains associated with different obturation techniques

This material may be used during perceptual and aerodynamic speech assessments to evaluate speech distortion and the relative contributions of velopharyngeal port and fistula to nasal air leakage during speech.

A technique for temporary obturation of fistulae.

We devised a simple technique to differentiate the contribution of the oronasal fistula from that of the velopharyngeal port when abnormal nasal air flow is present. Temporary obturators were constructed from a thin sheet of dental wax and retained by a dental adhesive.
