The effect of premolar occlusal contact on the occlusal forces.
Clarifying the effects of changes in the number of occlusal contact points on occlusal function is important. In the present study, we measured occlusal forces using dental prescale films to ascertain the effects of changes in premolar occlusal contact. Subjects were seven adult males with normal occlusion.

Abstract With the development of dental microwear texture analysis (DMTA), there has been an increasing application of DMTA for dietary estimation in extant and fossil reptiles, including dinosaurs. While numerous feeding experiments exist for herbivorous mammals, knowledge remains limited for carnivorous reptiles. This study aimed to qualitatively and

Abstract The Pleistocene is a key period for understanding the evolutionary history and palaeobiogeography of the European rabbit (Oryctolagus cuniculus). The species was first documented in southeastern Iberia at the beginning of the Middle Pleistocene and appears to have rapidly spread throughout Southwestern Europe, where it was found in numerous ...

In prosthodontics, the discussion in recent years has been as to whether the occlusal position would be made to agree with what part of the jaw. It still remains controversial whether the occlusal position at the terminal hinge inter-occlusal position (to be referred to as t. h. i. o. p.

Abstract Despite documented ecomorphological shifts toward an herbivorous diet in several coelurosaurian lineages, the evolutionary tempo and mode of these changes remain poorly understood, hampered by sparse cranial materials for early representatives of major clades. This is particularly true for Therizinosauria, with representative crania best known
