Multiuser OCDMA system demonstrator with full CDR using a novel OCDMA receiver

IEEE Photonics Technology Letters, 2005
We report the first multiuser optical code-division multiple-access (OCDMA) system demonstrator with full clock and data recovery using a novel OCDMA receiver. We achieve receiver sensitivities of -19.1, -16.3, and -9.2 dBm for one, two, and three users, respectively, at a BER/spl les/10/sup -10/ using a 2/sup 20/-1 pseudorandom binary sequence.

Coherent OCDMA communication systems

open access: yesSPIE Proceedings, 2012
Coherent optical code division multiple access (OCDMA) technique, where encoding and decoding are based on the phase and amplitude of optical field instead of its intensity, is receiving much attention for the overall superior performance over incoherent OCDMA and the development of compact and reliable en/decoders (E/D) such as spatial light phase ...

Development of a new code family based on SAC-OCDMA system with large cardinality for OCDMA network

Optical Fiber Technology, 2011
Abstract We have proposed a new Multi-Diagonal (MD) code for Spectral Amplitude – Coding Optical Code Division Multiple Access (SAC-OCDMA). Although this new MD code has many properties, one of the important properties of this code is that the cross correlation is always zero.

Sum capacity of the OCDMA/OCDMA signature sequence set

IEEE Communications Letters, 2002
The sum capacity of the OCDMA/OCDMA (O/O) signature sequence set is investigated under the assumption of equal average-input-energy constraints and perfect synchronization of the users. It is shown that the spectral efficiency of the O/O signature sequence set is only dependent on the SNR and load, but independent of the choice of the orthogonal bases.

Channel overloading: improved OCDMA/OCDMA versus PN/OCDMA

10th International Conference on Telecommunications, 2003. ICT 2003., 2003
The allowable load in oversaturated CDMA systems is investigated, with multistage successive interference cancellation (m-SIC) and optimum MUltiuser Detection (MUD). We compare the critical load of Pseudo Noise/Orthogonal CDMA (PN/O) and Orthogonal/Orthogonal CDMA (O/O). An extension to scrambled O/O (s-O/O) is introduced, labeled overall-permuted O/O (

Spectral efficiency of OCDMA/OCDMA with asymmetric power assignment

The 13th IEEE International Symposium on Personal, Indoor and Mobile Radio Communications, 2003
The sum capacity of the OCDMA/OCDMA (O/O) signature sequence set is investigated when the users of the two orthogonal sets are allowed to have a different average-input-energy constraint and with perfect synchronization of the users. It is found that the sum capacity is dependent on the load and the respective SNR only, but independent of the choice of

Receiver Design for OCDMA Users in a Hybrid OCDMA/WDMA System

Third International Conference on Information Technology and Applications (ICITA'05), 2005
A hybrid OCDMA/WDMA system is further investigated. We propose an OCDMA receiver design to receive the desired signal with the least interference. Lower probability of error is obtained and better performance can be achieved.

Performance comparison of WDM+OCDMA and multi-wavelength OCDMA systems

SPIE Proceedings, 2005
The performance of normalized throughput in WDM+OCDMA is compared with that of MW OCDMA system after considering the effect of chromatic dispersion. Normalized throughput in MW OCDMA system will be reduced after considering the effect of chromatic dispersion.
