Immobilization of Wild Ocelots with Tiletamine and Zolazepam in Southern Texas [PDF]
Telazol was used to immobilize nine wild ocelots (Leopardus pardalis) captured in box-traps in southern Texas (USA) between May 1997 and April 1998. Mean (+/- SD) intramuscular dosage rate of 5.05 (+/- 0.76) mg/kg produced an induction time of 3.7 +/- 1.8 min.

This study evaluates how human activities impact margay (Leopardus wiedii) distribution in the Yucatán Peninsula, revealing habitat loss due to agriculture but also recolonization opportunities in abandoned lands. Species distribution models show range contraction (2010–2023), yet margays demonstrate resilience near disturbed habitats.

Coyote Range Expansion in the Human‐Modified Tropics of Mesoamerica

Estimating Sunda Clouded Leopard Lifespans From Minimum Residence Times via Long‐Term Photo‐Tracking
How long do Sunda clouded leopards live in the wild? Detectability challenges and transient behavior make this elusive species difficult to track. Based on compiled photographic records, we report the oldest known individual to date: a 6.51‐year‐old female and provide new insights into survival and demography of this threatened carnivore.
