Fluorine‐Free Soft Nanocomposites for High‐Speed Liquid Impact Repellence

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Fluorine‐free soft nanocomposite coatings are developed using silicone oil‐mediated mechanical‐stiffness control, enabling ‘dry’ liquid‐repellent surfaces that resist high‐speed water jet impacts up to ∼60 m/s. By tuning nanoparticle loading and oil content, the coatings also achieve >90% optical transparency, amphiphobicity with impact resistance to ...

Effect of soil-groundwater system on migration and transformation of organochlorine pesticides: A review

open access: yesEcotoxicology and Environmental Safety
Soil is the place where human beings, plants, and animals depend on for their survival and the link between the various ecological layers. Groundwater is an important component of water resources and is one of the most important sources of water for ...

High‐Performance Electrocatalysts of Potassium Lactate Oxidation for Hydrogen and Solid Potassium Acetate Production

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, Volume 37, Issue 13, April 2, 2025.
Potassium lactate, produced from polylactic acid plastic waste, is oxidized to potassium acetate on an anode using Ni(Co)OOH as the electrocatalyst, while hydrogen is simultaneously generated at the cathode, through a highly efficient industrial‐scale electrolysis system.

Preparation of Certified Reference Materials of Organochlorine Pesticides and Polychlorinated Biphenyls in Chinese Typical Soils

open access: yesYankuang ceshi, 2015
In China, there is only one certified reference material (CRM) of organochlorine pesticide (OCPs) and three CRMs of polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) in soil. Internationally, there is one CRM of OCPs and two CRMs of PCBs in soil in Europe.

Improving Ionic Conformality Across Polymer Electrolyte|Electrode Interfaces

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Polymer electrolytes typically form physically intimate electrode interfaces but often fail to maintain continuous ionic pathways, critically limiting battery performance. Through strategic compositional design, this study introduces a molecular ionic composite electrolyte that effectively reduces interfacial ionic depletion, ensuring consistent ion ...

A path planning and path-following control framework for a general 2-trailer with a car-like tractor

open access: yes, 2019
Maneuvering a general 2-trailer with a car-like tractor in backward motion is a task that requires significant skill to master and is unarguably one of the most complicated tasks a truck driver has to perform. This paper presents a path planning and path-

Engineering Bilayer Tandem Catalysts on Si‐Based Photocathodes for High‐performance CO2 Reduction to Produce Methane

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A Cu/Ag‐Cu bilayer tandem catalyst is designed for a pyramid‐structured p‐Si photocathode, creating multiple and functionally distinct interfaces tailored to specific reaction steps and intermediate stabilization. This Cu/Ag‐Cu‐decorated p‐Si photocathode exhibits both high photocurrent and good selectivity for photoelectrochemical CO2 reduction to CH4.

Using a Zero‐Strain Reference Electrode to Distinguish Anode and Cathode Volume Changes in a Solid‐State Battery

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
Volume changes of a solid‐state battery cell are separated into the individual contributions of anode and cathode. Simultaneously determining the “reaction volumes” of both electrodes requires a reference electrode with a pressure‐independent potential.

N‐heterocyclic Carbenes as Adhesion Promoters on Aluminum Alloy 6061

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
N‐heterocyclic carbenes as novel non‐toxic surface primers for aluminum alloys for better adhesive bonding, because strong adhesive bonding shouldn't come at the cost of poisoning the human body. The impact of NHC functionalization on adhesive joint strength and durability is also evaluated using a single‐lap‐shear test, following continuous exposure ...
