White dot syndromes are a heterogeneous group of diseases that affect different layers in the retina and choroid. Multimodal imaging is fundamental in the diagnosis, but also can be crucial in unveiling the pathogenesis of these entities.Literature review.Optical coherence tomography (OCT) provides depth-resolved, histological grade images of the ...

Stratus OCT image analysis with spectral-domain OCT (Topcon 3D OCT Viewer)
British Journal of Ophthalmology, 2011To assess the accuracy of the Topcon 3D OCT Viewer in analysing Stratus OCT data.Randomly selected fast macular thickness map protocol optical coherence tomography (OCT) raw data were exported from the Stratus OCT database and imported into and analysed with the Topcon 3D OCT Viewer.

Anterior Segment OCT: Polarization-Sensitive OCT
2020The conventional intensity-oriented OCT utilizes scattering information to evaluate morphological features of biological tissues. The new generation of OCT, polarization-sensitive OCT (PS-OCT), is capable of measuring the polarization properties of biological tissues, such as phase retardation, diattenuation, and optic-axis orientation.

Optical coherence tomography (OCT) evaluates optic nerve head, peripapillary retinal nerve fiber layer and inner retinal layers at macula for detecting structural abnormalities in glaucoma. The structural abnormalities detected on OCT precede functional loss (detected on standard automated perimetry) enabling early diagnosis of glaucoma.
