Objective The study aimed to identify symptom‐based predictors of dry eye disease (DED) signs in the Sjögren's International Collaborative Clinical Alliance (SICCA) cohort. Methods We performed a retrospective analysis examining 16 ocular symptoms (most graded 0–4) and artificial tear (AT) use (graded 0–3) as predictors of DED signs (abnormal ocular ...

Mg–Zn composites with a thickness of 0.21 mm were fabricated using roll bonding of a kirigami‐patterned Mg alloy inlay within a Zn matrix. Thermal activation following this process led to the formation of tailored intermetallic structures, which provided the composite with enhanced flexural strength.

Ocular refraction by ...

Retinal and Choroidal Thickness in Myopic Young Adults
The retinal and the choroidal thickness were measured at four locations along the horizontal direction (foveola, one nasal to the fovea and two temporal) in a group of 43 young adults (mean age: 27.1 ± 3.9 years), with ocular refraction ranging from ...

Changes in ocular biometrics and refraction during near work in downward gaze over time [PDF]
PURPOSE\ud \ud To investigate changes in the characteristics of the corneal optics, total optics, anterior biometrics and axial length of the eye during a near task, in downward gaze, over 10 min. \ud \ud METHODS\ud \ud Ten emmetropes (mean - 0.14 ± 0.24

GABA
Roles of γ-aminobutyric acid (GABA) antagonists on the chick model of form-deprivation myopia (FDM) were investigated. Bicuculline (GABA ) or TPMPA (GABA ) was injected intravitreally (1 or 10 mg/mL) into the right eyes of chicks with or without FDM for ...

A two‐dimensional multiscale finite element analysis framework was established for the first‐generation MoSiBTiC alloy, and the mechanical and fracture‐related parameters of the constituent phases were calibrated through experiments and simulations. The framework provides a basis for analyzing crack propagation behavior in its complex microstructure ...
