Shear‐Mode Direct Piezoelectric Response of Ferroelectric Nematic Liquid Crystals

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Periodic shear‐induced electric current measurements are reported on two archetypic ferroelectric nematic liquid crystal compounds. From the temperature, frequency and shear angle dependent results of the first and second harmonic current signals together with temperature and oscillatory rheology measurements, the effective piezoelectric coupling ...

Equinors skattemilliarder til Afrika kommer ikke vanlige folk tilgode, mener skatteekspert Odd-Helge Fjeldstad

open access: yes, 2023

Solvent‐Desorption‐Induced Formation of a Long‐Period Polymorph Yielding a High‐Performance Porphyrin‐Based Organic Semiconductor

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Solvent‐desorption‐induced structural transformation of 5,15‐bisphenyl‐tetrabenzoporphyrin generates a long‐period polymorph, in which the π‐stacking direction rotates by 90° between adjacent layers within the crystal while largely retaining crystallographic integrity.

The Effects of ODD Comorbidity on Internalizing and Externalizing Symptoms in Children and Adolescents with ADHD

open access: yes
Aim: Oppositional defiant disorder (ODD) is the most common psychiatric disorder comorbid with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). This study aims to identify the areas of difficulty and to evaluate the internalizing and externalizing ...

Enhancing Quasi‐Two‐Dimensional Electronic Structure in Bi2O2Se via Chlorine Substitution

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We demonstrate chlorine substitution as an effective strategy to transform Bi2O2Se into an exfoliatable van der Waals superlattice. Key electronic band feature, including indirect bandgap, effective mass is well preserved, while the 2D character of the system is sufficiently enhanced.

Ground-state phase transition in odd-A and odd-odd nuclei near N=90

open access: yes, 2013
Ground-state phase transitions in odd nuclei are examined. Especially, the phase transitions in odd-odd nuclei are revealed. It is found that odd-even effects may reach their maximal or minimal values around the critical point at N=90; the signals of ...

Dual Randomness From Spatial and Temporal Variations in Stochastic Zinc Gallate Nanoclusters for PUF and TRNG Co‐Driven Image Generation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A dual‐randomness hardware platform is demonstrated by integrating PUF and TRNG functionalities into mixed‐ZGO nanoclusters. By leveraging spatial and temporal stochasticity, the mixed‐ZGO NCs device enables both unique identification and random signal generation.

A Postbiotic‐Inducing Ganoderma applanatum Polysaccharide Repairs the Intestinal Barrier via a Phocaeicola vulgatus ‐ Tridecylic Acid Axis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study identifies GAP2, a bioactive polysaccharide fraction derived from Ganoderma applanatum, as a postbiotic inducer that repairs intestinal barrier damage in a gut microbiota‐dependent manner. GAP2 enriches Phocaeicola vulgatus, which degrades GAP2 and promotes tridecylic acid production, triggering Rho/CDC42 signaling and tight‐junction ...

Optical Access to Dark Excitons Via Spin–Phonon Fano Interference

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Dark excitons in quantum dots neither absorb nor emit light and stay hidden from optical spectroscopy. Quantum interference now reveals them: light scattered by acoustic phonons interferes with a phonon‐assisted spin flip between bright and dark exciton, carving a Fano dip into the spectrum whose position gives the bright–dark splitting. Magnetic field,
