Reconstructing Quantum Dot Surfaces via Dual‐Functional Ligand Pairing Enables Efficient Shortwave Infrared Optoelectronics

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This work presents a ligand‐pairing strategy that reconstructs lead sulfide quantum dot surfaces for efficient short‐wave infrared optoelectronics. A low‐reactivity thiourea precursor combined with hydrobromic acid enables monodisperse and fully passivated quantum dots.

A literary study of Pindar's fourth and fifth Pythian odes [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
Pythian 4 is Pindar's grandest ode. It was commissioned along with Pythian 5 to celebrate the chariot victory at Delphi of Arcesilas IV of Cyrene. The lengthy myth of Pythian 4 narrates the tale of Jason and the Argonauts, long established in the ...

Bifurcation in Singularity Parameterized ODEs [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
In this paper we will study differential algebraic equations (DAEs) through studying singularly perturbed ODEs. That's the ODEs will be transformed to an DAEs when the perturbed parameter approach to 0.

Plasmonic Enhancement of Fluorescence and Protein Dynamics in Living Mammalian Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
This study demonstrates plasmonic enhancement of the function of fluorescent voltage sensing proteins (genetically encoded voltage indicators, (GEVIs), QuasAr6) in live mammalian cells. Coupling to plasmonic nanoparticles does not just increase fluorescence, but influences the protein photocycle, creating a hybrid sensor with its response speed to ...

Ferroelectric Quantum Dots for Retinomorphic In‐Sensor Computing

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
This work has provided a protocol for fabricating retinomorphic phototransistors by integrating ferroelectric ligands with quantum dots. The resulting device combines ferroelectricity, optical responsiveness, and low‐power operation to enable adaptive signal amplification and high recognition accuracy under low‐light conditions, while supporting ...

Performance of GRKM-method for solving classes of ordinary and partial differential equations of sixth-orders

open access: yesOpen Engineering
A general quasilinear sixth-order ordinary differential equation (ODE) is an important class of ODEs. The primary objective of this study is to establish a numerical method for solving a general class of quasilinear sixth-order partial differential ...

Ligand‐Mediated Shape Engineering of SWIR InAs Colloidal Quantum Dots for Photodetector Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
The table of contents: A robust ligand‐engineering strategy is introduced for SWIR InAs CQDs synthesized from amino‐arsine precursors. Bulky OA ligands induce controlled shape evolution, allowing access to >1700 nm absorption under mild conditions. Halide‐based inkification enables photodetectors with 19.1% EQE at 1300 nm and detectivity exceeding 1010
