Abstract Background Dentitions have diversified enormously during vertebrate evolution, involving reductions, modifications, or allocations to prey seizing and processing regions. A combination of ancient and novel features related to dental and oropharyngeal apparatuses is found in extant lineages of non‐teleost fishes, such as the gars.

Expression of FAM20C in the Osteogenesis and Odontogenesis of Mouse [PDF]
Mutations in FAM20C were recently identified as the cause of lethal osteosclerotic bone dysplasia, which highlighted the important role of this molecule in biomineralization. No systematic studies have been performed to evaluate the expression pattern of this relatively new molecule in the developmental processes of bone and tooth.

Recent Advances in Injectable Hydrogel Biotherapeutics for Regenerative Dental Medicine
This review analyses multifunctional injectable hydrogels, natural or synthetic, physically or chemically crosslinked, that deliver exosomes, stem cells, and other bioactive cues to inflamed or damaged oral tissues. We discuss their immunomodulatory, antimicrobial, angiogenic, and osteogenic capacities, highlighting advances that enable regenerative ...

The system employs a high density human dental stem cells‐laden oxidized alginate‐based microgel with a "degrade‐to‐active" paradigm that mimics cellular condensation to enhance cell viability, achieve robust vascularization, and promote subsequent dental organogenesis, which is enabled by rapid degradation along with the elimination of residual ...

MiR-335-3p/miR-155-5p Involved in IGFBP7-AS1–Enhanced Odontogenic Differentiation
Background: The differentiation of stem cells from exfoliated deciduous teeth (SHEDs) into odontoblasts determines the regeneration of dentin-pulp complex. Non-coding RNAs (ncRNAs), including microRNA (miRNA) and long non-coding RNA (lncRNA), participate

miRNAs in the Odontogenesis Process
MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are a class of small RNA molecules noncoding to proteins, which regulate gene expression at post-transcriptional level by binding to specific sequences within target genes. miRNAs have been recognized as important regulatory factors in the body development and expression of certain diseases. Some miRNAs regulate the proliferation and

Piezo2 in Mechanosensory Biology: From Physiological Homeostasis to Disease‐Promoting Mechanisms
Piezo2 channels are essential mechanotransducers regulating touch, proprioception and visceral mechanosensation across physiological systems, emerging as therapeutic targets for pathological mechanical hypersensitivity and neurogenic disorders. ABSTRACT Piezo2, a mechanically activated ion channel, serves as the key molecular transducer for touch ...
