Multi‐Scaled Cellulosic Nanonetworks from Tunicates
Microbial and plant nanonetworks of cellulose have enabled a wide range of high‐performance yet sustainable materials. Herein, a third class of cellulosic nanonetworks is showcased by exploiting the only animal tissue‐producing cellulose nanofibers, i.e., ascidians. An ultrastructure including spherical cells and a microvasculature with diameters of 50–

Mimicking the Gas-Phase to Transport Odorants through the Nasal Mucus: Functional Insights into Odorant Binding Proteins [PDF]
Mammalian odorant binding proteins (OBPs) have long been suggested to transport hydrophobic odorant molecules through the aqueous environment of the nasal mucus. While the function of OBPs as odorant transporters is supported by their hydrophobic beta-barrel structure, no rationale has been provided on why and how these proteins facilitate the uptake ...

Fluorine‐functionalized organic spacers (2F, 3F, 5F) are investigated to identify as optimal passivation agents for 3D MAPI perovskite solar cells (PSCs). The study highlights how altering fluorine positioning affects defect passivation, low‐dimensional phase (LDP) formation, and stability, emphasizing its role in molecular interactions and offering ...

An asymmetric non‐fullerene acceptor BTP‐FT is developed by extending the end group of Y6‐BO with thiophene. The conformation of the molecule is determined by the noncovalent F···S interaction as demonstrated by 2D NMR and simulations. An efficiency of 18.39% is achieved in the resulting ternary solar cells processed from toluene.
