Pioneering the Future: Principles, Advances, and Challenges in Organic Electrodes for Aqueous Ammonium‐Ion Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, Volume 37, Issue 13, April 2, 2025.
Leveraging the numerous advantages of ammonium‐ion (NH₄⁺)—including cost‐effectiveness, low corrosiveness, preferential orientation, and rapid diffusion kinetics—aqueous NH₄⁺ batteries (AAIBs) have gained significant attention. This review highlights and evaluates the progress of AAIBs utilizing organic electrode materials such as small molecules ...

1.4% External Quantum Efficiency 988 nm Light Emitting Diode Based on Tin‐Lead Halide Perovskite

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
The tin‐lead based halide perovskite film with the 3‐AMP passivate exhibits a significantly longer carrier lifetime of over 1 µs compared to the neat films (0.43 µs). The optimized tin‐lead halide perovskite LEDs show a single emission peak at 988 nm and an external quantum efficiency (EQE) of ≈1.4%.

High‐Performance Recyclable Polyester Elastomers Through Transient Strain‐Stiffening

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Transient strain‐crystallization simultaneously strengthens and toughens block polyester elastomers while conserving recyclability. Using controlled polymerization catalysis and commercial monomers, block polyester elastomers outperform current commercial elastomers, entering a new region of tensile mechanical property space.
