OFFLINE SIGNATURE VERIFICATION BY THE ANALYSIS OF CURSIVE STROKES

open access: yesInternational Journal of Pattern Recognition and Artificial Intelligence, 2001
In this paper, a method is proposed for offline signature verification. It is based on a smoothness criterion. It is observed that the cursive segments of forgery signatures are generally less smooth and less natural than the genuine ones, especially for those signatures that consist of cursive graphic patterns.

Offline Signature Verification through Biometric Strengthening

open access: yes2007 IEEE Workshop on Automatic Identification Advanced Technologies, 2007
The offline signature verification rests on the hypothesis that each writer has similarity among signature samples, with small distortion and scale variability. In this paper we propose a novel method to increase the accuracy in biometric matching which we term biometric strengthening.

RankSVM for Offline Signature Verification

2019 International Conference on Document Analysis and Recognition (ICDAR), 2019
Signature verification systems suffer from imbalanced learning, which imposes strict requirements on classifiers. The standard classification approaches, such as SVM, often degrade the performance for imbalanced data or require additional parameters for data balancing.

NSP Dataset and Offline Signature Verification

2020
Offline signature verification is a challenging task for both computer science and forensics. Skilled forgeries often cannot be recognized by humans, which leads to the need to develop automated forged signatures recognition methods, which in turn requires the creation of different datasets for training models, which include the NSP – the first dataset

SVM AND NN BASED OFFLINE SIGNATURE VERIFICATION

International Journal of Computational Intelligence and Applications, 2013
Among all of the biometric authentication systems, handwritten signatures are considered as the most legally and socially accepted attributes for personal verification. The objective of this paper is to present an empirical contribution toward the understanding of a threshold-based signature verification technique involving off-line Bangla (Bengali ...

Online/Offline Verification of Short Signatures

2011
Fast signature verification is desirable in many applications, especially when signature recipients need to make response quickly. In this paper, we present an efficient online/offline verification of short signature (OVS) scheme without random oracles.
