Parsimonious Coding and Verification of Offline Handwritten Signatures

2017 IEEE Conference on Computer Vision and Pattern Recognition Workshops (CVPRW), 2017
A common practice for addressing the problem of verifying the presence, or the consent of a person in many transactions is to utilize the handwritten signature. Among others, the offline or static signature is a valuable tool in forensic related studies.

A Pattern Matching Classifier for Offline Signature Verification

2008 First International Conference on Emerging Trends in Engineering and Technology, 2008
Offline signature verification can be linked as a biometric classifier that categorizes a signature into two classes: genuine and forged. In this paper a contour matching algorithm is proposed that tracks the basic characteristic patterns in a sample signature and verifies it. It capitalizes on the geometrical properties of the signature and takes into

Offline signature verification based on statistical features

Proceedings of the International Conference & Workshop on Emerging Trends in Technology, 2011
Signature identification and verification is considered among the most popular biometric methods in the area of personal authentication. In proposed method, we deal with offline verification of signature by two different algorithms. Before extracting different features from the signature, some preprocessing of the signature is done.

Deep Learning based Offline Signature Verification

2018 9th IEEE Annual Ubiquitous Computing, Electronics & Mobile Communication Conference (UEMCON), 2018
This paper presents the convolutional neural network for feature extraction and Support vector machine for the verification of offline signatures. The cropped signatures are used to train CNN forr extracting features. The Extracted features are classified into two classes genuine or forgery using SVM.

A COMPREHENSIVE REVIEW OF OFFLINE SIGNATURE VERIFICATION

2023
Signatures are a means to represent a person either directly or indirectly in all the legal documents and (as well as) legal transactions. Signatures are a form of biometrics characterized by their uniqueness. Biometrics is a viable technology in various application domains where the identification or verification of an individual is contingent upon ...

Offline Signature Verification Using Textural Descriptors

2019
Offline signature verification has been the most commonly employed modality for authentication of an individual and, it enjoys global acceptance in legal, banking and official documents. Verifying the authenticity of a signature (genuine or forged) remains a challenging problem from the perspective of computerized solutions.

A fuzzy framework for offline signature verification

2014 IEEE International Conference on Electronics, Computing and Communication Technologies (CONECCT), 2014
Signature verification is a highly complex and challenging task. This paper presents a similarity measure based person-dependent off-line signature verification using fuzzy techniques in image contrast enhancement, feature extraction and verification. Two sets of experimental studies are conducted on CEDAR benchmark dataset and the results are reported.

Signature envelope curvature descriptor for offline signature verification

2007 International Conference on Wavelet Analysis and Pattern Recognition, 2007
This paper presents an algorithm for feature descriptor extraction of signature using signature envelope curvature sequences which are rotation invariant. The envelope curvature reflects both the direction change pattern of the envelope sequence and smoothness of the envelope that are usually employed for signature verification by human experts.
