Register control system for offset printing

2017 International Conference on Intelligent Sustainable Systems (ICISS), 2017
A printing press is a mechanical gadget for applying weight to an inked surface resting upon a medium, (for example, paper or fabric), accordingly exchanging a picture. The frameworks included were first amassed in Germany by the goldsmith Johannes Gutenberg in the mid-fifteenth century.

Transform versus non-transform offsets controlled by offset length and the variation in magmatic accretion within the offset zone

2022
<p>Transform faults and non-transform offsets define the bounds of mid-ocean ridge spreading segments, but tectonic and magmatic controls on the length of segments and the morphology of intervening offsets are poorly understood. A general observation at intermediate and slow-spreading oceanic environments is that localized strike-slip ...

An Effective Transconductance Controlled Offset Calibration for Dynamic Comparators

2020 IEEE International Symposium on Circuits and Systems (ISCAS), 2020
This paper proposes an offset calibration method for dynamic comparators, which trims the effective transconductance of transistors. The proposed offset calibration method requires additional switches only on the fixed-voltage nodes; therefore, it has negligible impact on the comparator's key performances, such as comparison and reset speed, input ...

Offset-Free Nonlinear Model Predictive Control

2017
Offset-free model predictive control (MPC) algorithms for nonlinear state-space process models, with modeling errors and under asymptotically constant external disturbances, is the subject of the paper. A brief formulation of the MPC formulation used is first given, followed by a brief remainder of the case with measured state vector.

Offset-free model predictive controller of a heat pump

2014 American Control Conference, 2014
This work presents an offset-free model predictive control (OF-MPC) design for energy-efficient control of a heat pump. A model developed from a combination of first-principles and empirical components with parameters estimated using real heat pump data is used as a test bed for the implementation of the MPC design.

An Offset Modulation Scheme to Control the PAPR of an OFDM Transmission

2010 IEEE 72nd Vehicular Technology Conference - Fall, 2010
In this paper, a novel method called offset modulation (OM-OFDM) is proposed, to control the peak-to-average power ratio of an OFDM signal. The theoretical bandwidth occupancy of the proposed offset modulated signal is derived. Using this bandwidth occupancy a closed form theoretical bit error rate (BER) expression for an offset modulated transmission ...

Steady state offset in predictive control

Proceedings of the 1999 American Control Conference (Cat. No. 99CH36251), 1999
Analyses a linear discrete-time system controlled by a state-space predictive controller. It is assumed that the parameters and the dynamic order of the system used for the design of the controller differ from the true parameters of the plant. For such a system, the steady state output predictions are calculated.

Disturbance models for offset‐free model‐predictive control

AIChE Journal, 2003
AbstractModel predictive control algorithms achieve offset‐free control objectives by adding integrating disturbances to the process model. The purpose of these additional disturbances is to lump the plant‐model mismatch and/or unmodeled disturbances. Its effectiveness has been proven for particular square cases only.

On offset free generalized predictive control

2013 International Conference on Process Control (PC), 2013
The paper deals with offset free reference tracking problem for reference signals composed of step and ramp functions. The proposed solution arises from usual design of generalized predictive control supplemented with specific modifications suppressing or ideally removing undesirable offset (steady state error) from required behavior.

Geometric Control of a Quadrotor with a Load Suspended from an Offset

2019 American Control Conference (ACC), 2019
A quadrotor with a point-mass payload suspended with an offset from the center-of-mass of the quadrotor to the suspension point is studied in this paper. This system consists of eight degrees of freedom and four degrees of underactuation. A coordinate-free dynamic model is obtained by taking variations on manifolds.
