Impulsive control systems have shown strong potential to represent and address challenging problems, especially in the biomedical field. In recent research, these problems have been tackled with advances in linear impulsive control systems. However, many

Control of Pneumatic Robots Using Variable Offset Pressure Controller
We proposed a control algorithm for pneumatic actuators which can realize accurate position control. Specifically, the controller achieves quick response and less overshoot using the conventional proportional controller (P-controller) with an offset pressure controller which may increase or decrease the rigidity to the pneumatic actuators.

Investigating the Interhemisphere 14C Offset in the 1st Millennium AD and Assessment of Laboratory Bias and Calibration Errors [PDF]
Past measurements of the radiocarbon interhemispheric offset have been restricted to relatively young samples because of a lack of older dendrochronologically secure Southern Hemisphere tree-ring chronologies. The Southern Hemisphere calibration data set

ABSTRACT Background Young adult childhood cancer survivors (YA‐CCS) have an increased risk of treatment‐related health complications throughout their lives. Lifelong survivorship care is recommended, yet many YA‐CCS experience disruptions in care during pediatric‐to‐adult transitions and do not receive recommended survivorship care.

Shape-control characteristics of six-high mill with roll offset
To improve the stability of the six-high cold rolling mill, the roll offset method is often used. This paper uses ABAQUS finite element software to establish the rolls-strip coupling model.

ABSTRACT Febrile neutropenia (FN) is a frequent and serious complication in children receiving cancer therapy. Standardizing FN management across Asia is challenging due to variable healthcare infrastructure, diagnostic capacity, and infection patterns; however, it could improve resource use and patient outcomes.

Vectoring Control of Bilateral Parallel Offset Jet: Flow Characteristics and Control Mechanism
We proposed a bilateral parallel offset jet model that enables jet vectoring control without the need for an active high-pressure secondary flow. Flow characteristics, including deflection force, wall pressure distribution, and flow structures, were ...

Real-time control under clock offsets between sensors and controllers [PDF]
This paper studies the impact of clock mismatches in spatially distributed real-time control systems. We consider a configuration in which sensor measurements are collected by one processor that transmits the measurements to another control/actuation processor through a network, but the two processors do not have a common clock.
