Landslide Monitoring Using Sar Sub-Pixel Offset Tracking
2018 IEEE 4th International Forum on Research and Technology for Society and Industry (RTSI), 2018In this paper, we address large displacements monitoring using sub-pixel offset tracking. This technique, working only with the amplitude channel, can be applied in the observation of fast movements even in scarcely temporally coherent areas. The case study concerns the Slumgullion landslide (US).

A Muli-Channel Combiner with Carrier-Offset Tracking
Conference Record of the Thirty-Ninth Asilomar Conference onSignals, Systems and Computers, 2005., 2006Suppose that a signal's bandwidth exceeds that of any available receiver, but that overlapping sub-bands of the signal are collected by multiple receivers that cover the entire signal bandwidth. An eigenanalysis method is described for reconstruction of the signal from the sub-bands.

Three-Track Readout Method Using Two Offset Beams
Japanese Journal of Applied Physics, 1996A high-data-transfer-rate, high-track-density optical recording method using two offset beams to read the data on three tracks was investigated. One beam is offset towards the center track from the center of a side track. Therefore, the readout signal amplitude read from the side track is twice as large as that from the center track.

Optimization of probe-laser focal offsets for single-particle tracking
Applied Optics, 2012In optical tweezers applications, tracking a trapped particle is essential for force measurement. One of the most popular techniques for single-particle tracking is achieved by analyzing the forward and backward light pattern, scattered by the target particle trapped by a trap laser beam, of an additional probe-laser beam with different wavelength ...

Measuring Coseismic Displacements With Point-Like Targets Offset Tracking
IEEE Geoscience and Remote Sensing Letters, 2014Offset tracking is an important complement to measure large ground displacements in both azimuth and range dimensions where synthetic aperture radar (SAR) interferometry is unfeasible. Subpixel offsets can be obtained by searching for the cross-correlation peak calculated from the match patches uniformly distributed on two SAR images.

Frequency offset tracking for MIMO OFDM systems using pilots
IEEE Wireless Communications and Networking Conference, 2005, 2005This paper presents an analysis of frequency offset estimation in MIMO OFDM systems. Tracking of frequency offsets is often aided by pilots transmitted in the data payload of a packet. The extension to multiple antenna OFDM systems means that spatial beamforming will occur when transmitting pilots from all antennas simultaneously, which can reduce the ...

A Comparison of Frequency Offset Tracking Algorithms for OFDM
GLOBECOM '03. IEEE Global Telecommunications Conference (IEEE Cat. No.03CH37489), 2004The estimation and tracking of the carrier frequency offset is a crucial issue in the implementation of orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) systems. This paper compares two popular frequency offset tracking schemes. The first is the pilot tone-based method where the frequency offset is derived by correlating received symbols with known ...

Millimeter Wave Compressive Path Tracking with Carrier Frequency Offset
2019 IEEE Wireless Communications and Networking Conference (WCNC), 2019Compressive scanning (CS) has exhibited its potential in improving the path tracking efficiency of millimeter wave (mmWave) systems. However, its practical performance is significantly degenerated by hardware imperfections, such as carrier frequency offset (CFO).

Residual carrier frequency offset tracking for OFDM-based systems
The 2004 IEEE Asia-Pacific Conference on Circuits and Systems, 2004. Proceedings., 2005In this work, four tracking schemes are analyzed for OFDM-based systems and simulation experiments are performed for an IEEE 802.11a WLAN system. The first scheme is a newly proposed symbol-by-symbol method, which estimates the carrier phase offset of each OFDM symbol and then appropriate compensation is made.

Analysis of frequency-offset tracking in MIMO OFDM systems
IEEE Transactions on Communications, 2006This paper presents an analysis of frequency-offset estimation in multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (OFDM) systems. Tracking of the frequency offset between a transmitter and a receiver is often aided by transmitting pilots embedded in the data payload of a packet.
