Glacier motion estimation using SAR offset-tracking procedures [PDF]

open access: yesIEEE Transactions on Geoscience and Remote Sensing, 2002
Two image-to-image patch offset techniques for\ud estimating feature motion between satellite synthetic aperture radar (SAR) images are discussed. Intensity tracking, based on patch intensity cross-correlation optimization, and coherence tracking, based on patch coherence optimization, are used to estimate the movement of glacier surfaces between two ...

Measuring Coseismic Displacements With Point-Like Targets Offset Tracking

open access: yesIEEE Geoscience and Remote Sensing Letters, 2014
Offset tracking is an important complement to measure large ground displacements in both azimuth and range dimensions where synthetic aperture radar (SAR) interferometry is unfeasible. Subpixel offsets can be obtained by searching for the cross-correlation peak calculated from the match patches uniformly distributed on two SAR images.

Comprehensive Time-Offset Estimation for Multisensor Target Tracking

IEEE Transactions on Aerospace and Electronic Systems, 2020
Temporal registration of sensors is an essential preprocessing step in multisensor target tracking systems. A new approach for multisensor time-offset estimation is proposed in this article. First, the time offset pseudomeasurement equation is derived and calculated in both centralized and decentralized scenarios, where measurements and local tracks ...

Offset compensation in a track and hold circuit

2017 IEEE 60th International Midwest Symposium on Circuits and Systems (MWSCAS), 2017
Using a new DC offset compensation method, a fully differential track and hold circuit is presented. It stores an amplified version of the offset during the hold phase, which is used in attenuated fashion during the track phase to compensate offset. This scheme is less sensitive to charge injection and other errors than conventional offset compensation

Offsets and front tire tracks to projective hedgehogs

Computer Aided Geometric Design, 2022
There are some known properties on curves of constant width and Zindler curves and their relationship with offsets and front tire-track curves in convex geometry. In this work, a generalization of all these concepts and results to hedgehogs is presented. Discontinuity issues coming from the common parametric definition of offsets and front track curves

Problem of track offset in optical disk systems

Applied Optics, 1998
In an optical disk drive, it is well known that a tilt of the disk causes an offset in the tracking-error signal (TES). One effect of disk tilt is the introduction of a dc component to the TES, which can be largely corrected by operation of the tracking system at the midpoint between the maximum and the minimum values of the open-loop TES.

A Comparison of Frequency Offset Tracking Algorithms for OFDM

GLOBECOM '03. IEEE Global Telecommunications Conference (IEEE Cat. No.03CH37489), 2004
The estimation and tracking of the carrier frequency offset is a crucial issue in the implementation of orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) systems. This paper compares two popular frequency offset tracking schemes. The first is the pilot tone-based method where the frequency offset is derived by correlating received symbols with known ...
