Offset- and gain-compensated track-and-hold stages

1998 IEEE International Conference on Electronics, Circuits and Systems. Surfing the Waves of Science and Technology (Cat. No.98EX196), 1998
A class of new fully-differential track-and-hold stages is presented. The gain of the stages does not depend on capacitor matching, and a predictive correlated-double-sampling scheme is used to reduce the effects of op-amp offset and finite dc gain. A prototype chip was fabricated in a 1.2 /spl mu/m double-poly double-metal CMOS process.

Offset-Free Tracking Control for a Marine Autonomous Surface Ship

Volume 1: Offshore Technology, 2023
Abstract The importance of autonomous surface vessels is increasing day by day because of more and more missions and safety concerns. An offset-free control system is essential for a Marine Autonomous Surface Ship (MASS) to follow its desired trajectory.

Offset-free reference tracking for predictive controllers

2007 46th IEEE Conference on Decision and Control, 2007
We discuss the offset-free reference tracking problem for linear constrained systems in the presence of disturbances and plant-model mismatch. Introducing disturbance models, we show how to construct a controller/observer combination, such that zero offset is achieved.

Analysis of frequency-offset tracking in MIMO OFDM systems

IEEE Transactions on Communications, 2006
This paper presents an analysis of frequency-offset estimation in multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (OFDM) systems. Tracking of the frequency offset between a transmitter and a receiver is often aided by transmitting pilots embedded in the data payload of a packet.

Breaking the Tracking

Proceedings of the 2018 CHI Conference on Human Factors in Computing Systems, 2018
Virtual reality (VR) technology strives to enable a highly immersive experience for the user by including a wide variety of modalities (e.g. visuals, haptics). Current VR hardware however lacks a sufficient way of communicating the perception of weight of an object, resulting in scenarios where users can not distinguish between lifting a bowling ball ...

Monitoring Mining Subsidence Using A Combination of Phase-Stacking and Offset-Tracking Methods

open access: yesRemote Sensing, 2015
An approach to study the mechanism of mining-induced subsidence, using a combination of phase-stacking and sub-pixel offset-tracking methods, is reported.

Offset Fastening Flex Track

SAE Technical Paper Series, 2012
<div class="section abstract"><div class="htmlview paragraph">Flex Track Drilling systems have been successfully implemented into several production environments and scenarios over the past couple of years. They continue to see a high demand where traditional machine tool implementations might be prohibitive due to cost or existing jig ...

Symbol timing offset tracking for DRM receiver

2013 IEEE Third International Conference on Information Science and Technology (ICIST), 2013
Orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) system performance degrades due to symbol misalignment. We propose a symbol synchronization scheme based on channel estimation (CE). We applied linear interpolation in time domain and Winner filter in frequency domain to implement CE. The first path time delay of channel determines symbol timing offset.

A Muli-Channel Combiner with Carrier-Offset Tracking

Conference Record of the Thirty-Ninth Asilomar Conference onSignals, Systems and Computers, 2005., 2006
Suppose that a signal's bandwidth exceeds that of any available receiver, but that overlapping sub-bands of the signal are collected by multiple receivers that cover the entire signal bandwidth. An eigenanalysis method is described for reconstruction of the signal from the sub-bands.

Landslide Displacement Monitoring by a Fully Polarimetric SAR Offset Tracking Method

open access: yesRemote Sensing, 2016
Landslide monitoring is important for geological disaster prevention, where Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) images have been widely used. Compared with the Interferometric SAR (InSAR) technique, intensity-based offset tracking methods (e.g., Normalized ...
