Effect of SiOx Nanocoating Deposition Route on Oxygen Evolution Reaction/Chlorine Evolution Reaction Selectivity of IrOx Anodes in Acidic Saline Water Electrolysis [PDF]

open access: yesChemSusChem, Volume 19, Issue 18, 28 September 2026.
How SiOx nanocoatings are made matters. For acidic saline water electrolysis, silicon oxide (SiOx) layers prepared by different fabrication routes showed distinct abilities to selectively suppress the chlorine evolution reaction and enhance the oxygen evolution reaction selectivity.
