Late Quaternary climatic variability in the Eastern Mediterranean recorded in Hermes Cave, Corinth Rift, Greece

ABSTRACT The Greek peninsula lies at the intersection of major atmospheric circulation systems, making it a key location for reconstructing past climate variability in the Eastern Mediterranean. In this study, we present a new high‐resolution multi‐proxy speleothem record from Hermes Cave, located on the shoulder of the Corinth Rift in southern Greece.

Application of Electrical Resistance Probes for Corrosion Monitoring and Cathodic Protection Assessment of Offshore Structures

Materials and Corrosion, EarlyView.
A novel thick‐track electrical resistance probe with five sensing tracks was developed for offshore corrosion monitoring. The probe provides reliable, real‐time corrosion‐rate measurements in natural seawater. Corrosion‐rate trends showed strong agreement with weight‐loss coupon measurements.

Experimental and Comparative Study of the Corrosion Behavior of Lean Duplex Stainless Steel in Seawater

Materials and Corrosion, EarlyView.
The localized corrosion behavior of lean duplex stainless steel EN 1.4062 is systematically compared with austenitic and higher‐alloyed duplex grades in natural seawater. A clear resistance ranking is established, highlighting EN 1.4062 as a cost‐effective alternative for limited marine exposure.
