Design and Construction of a Two-Phase Flow Homogenizer Loop for Volume Fraction Measurement in Solid-Liquid as Well as Liquid-Liquid Mixtures by γ-Ray Attenuation Technique [PDF]

open access: yesمجله علوم و فنون هسته‌ای, 2016
Multiphase flow metering, has been one of the most important issues in oil/gas industry, since the early 80s. Oil-water two-phase flow, shows off specially in flow meters that work based on separation of oil-water-gas three-phase flow into liquid (oil ...

A New Method to Calculate the Relative Permeability of Oil and Water in Tight Oil Reservoirs by Considering the Nonlinear Flow

open access: yesGeofluids, 2022
The theoretical research on the percolation mechanism and oil-water relative permeability of low-permeability oil reservoirs is the focus and hotspot of international researchers.

Interaction of HS1BP3 with cortactin modulates TKS5 localisation, cell secretion and cancer malignancy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Here, we demonstrate that HS1BP3 interacts with Cortactin through a proline‐rich region (PRR3.1) and show that this interaction, and HS1BP3 itself, promote cancer cell proliferation and invasion. Inhibition of this interaction leads to build‐up of TKS5 in multivesicular endosomes and altered secretion of CD63 and CD9, providing an explanation for the ...

Oncogenic DMTF1β promotes cancer cell motility by regulating autophagy through ULK1 stabilization

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In the current study, we demonstrate that the oncogene DMTF1β regulates ULK1 stability by reducing its proteasomal degradation in cancer cells. This stabilization enables ULK1 to induce autophagy, which in turn facilitates cancer cell migration. Consequently, reduced DMTF1β levels lead to decreased autophagy and impaired cancer cell migration.

Oil-water separation phenomenon due to corrosion cavity and scale sediments build-up in horizontal pipeline [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
The concurrent flow of two immiscible liquids (Oil-Water) in pipelines is usually encountered in oil production and pipeline transportation. Water is present in crude oil and separation facilities.

Single‐molecule DNA flow‐stretch assays for high‐throughput DNA–protein interaction studies

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
We describe an optimised single‐molecule DNA flow‐stretch assay that visualises DNA–protein interactions in real time. Linear DNA fragments are tethered to a surface and stretched by buffer flow for fluorescence imaging. Using λ and φX174 DNA, this protocol enhances reproducibility and accessibility, providing a versatile approach for studying diverse ...

Equivalent Dielectric Permittivity Model of Low Water Cut Oil-Water Two-Phase Flow

open access: yesCejing jishu
The capacitance method is widely used to measure the water content of oil-water two-phase flow, whether it is the surface oil-water measurement or the stratification test of the production profile in the well.

Flow Patterns Transition Law of Oil-Water Two-Phase Flow under a Wide Range of Oil Phase Viscosity Condition

open access: yesJournal of Applied Mathematics, 2013
A systematic work on the prediction of flow patterns transition of the oil-water two-phase flows is carried out under a wide range of oil phase viscosities, where four main flow regimes are considered including stratified, dispersed, core-annular, and ...

Adaptive Kalman Estimation of Phase Holdup of Water-Continuous Oil-Water Two-Phase Flow

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2017
Phase holdup measurement of the two-phase flow is of significance in industrial process. Accurate and real-time measurement of phase holdup is a critical problem requiring urgent solutions.

Oil-Water Two-Phase Flow Inside T-Junction

open access: yes, 2008
The oil/water two-phase flow inside T-junctions was numerically simulated with a 3-D two-fluid model, and the turbulence was described using the mixture k - epsilon model.
