A Hybrid machine‐learning method for oil‐immersed power transformer fault diagnosis

This paper presents a hybrid machine‐learning method based on oil‐immersed power transformer fault diagnosis Probability Neural Network (PNN) optimized via a Multi‐Verse Optimizer (MVO) algorithm. PNN is a radial basis function prefeedback neural network based on Bayesian decision theory.

Application of overload ratings to power transformers is considered in the light of 30 years of operating experience. A comprehensive description is given of the philosophy of overloading, methods of calculation, transformer life curves, and a working computer program which incorporates these factors with increased accuracy and reduced engineering time.
