Heavy Oils and Oil Sands: Global Distribution and Resource Assessment
Acta Geologica Sinica - English Edition, 2019AbstractGlobal recoverable resources of heavy oil and oil sands have been assessed by CNPC using a geology‐based assessment method combined with the traditional volumetric method, spatial interpolation method, parametric‐probability method etc. The most favourable areas for exploration have been selected in accordance with a comprehensive scoring ...

The Distributional Effects of Oil Shocks
SSRN Electronic JournalNegative oil supply shocks since the 1980s have increased German inflation and reduced aggregate economic activity. Using 45 years of high-frequency German administrative data, we find that these shocks disproportionally harm low-income individuals: their earnings growth falls by two percentage points two years after a 10-percent exogenous oil price ...

The Research on Distribution of the Remaining Oil in Heavy Oil Reservoir of BQ57
Applied Mechanics and Materials, 2013The BQ57 block is structurally located in the sag part of Biyang, the northern slopes. Reservoir is buried shallow, thickness thin and oil viscosity is high. With the old wells production factor decreasing, the remaining oil distribution is getting more and more complex, the block has a downward trend in production capacity.

Study of the vegetal oil as a substitute for mineral oils in distribution transformer
2008 IEEE/PES Transmission and Distribution Conference and Exposition: Latin America, 2008There are so many factors that negatively affect distribution transformer operations, especially its electrical insulation system. Traditionally mineral oil has been used as insulating material, however, in the last years there is a growing interest in using vegetable oil, these fluids are currently being used in the range of small to medium ...

The Spanish distribution system for oil products: an obstacle to competition?
Energy Policy, 2001Abstract This paper examines why the formal liberalization of the Spanish market for automotive fuels did not introduce competition in the sector. Against the background of the transformation of the country's oil industry, it is shown how the Spanish distribution system emerged as the essential facility within the formally liberalized oil products ...

Numerical Simulation of Remaining Oil Distribution Based on Oil Field Data Analysis
2020In view of the narrow data source range of traditional residual oil distribution numerical simulation, a numerical simulation method of residual oil distribution based on oilfield data analysis is studied. Firstly, the principle of big data was put forward to complete the collection and analysis of oilfield information.

Distribution of nitrogen in Caspian crude oils
Chemistry and Technology of Fuels and Oils, 1986Potentiometric titration in nonaqueous media gives very accurate results (+0.001-0.003%) in determining the total content of nitrogen bases in crudes and also in products. Results obtained by the use of these methods in studying the distribution of nitrogen compounds in crude oils produced from offshore Caspian fields and onshore fields in this area ...

Analysis of the oil distribution in starved elliptical E.H.D. contacts
2003Publisher Summary This chapter describes some of the issues raised in the elliptical contact analysis to provide additional insight into the local character of starvation in elliptical contacts, to quantify the amount of oil lost from the track in the inlet and outlet regions, and to analyze the local oil film redistribution in the inlet region.

Distribution of Relaxation Times in an Insulating Oil
IEEE Transactions on Electrical Insulation, 1971The dielectric constant and loss of a cable insulating oil has been measured as a function of frequency and temperature. The distribution of relaxation times derived from the data is close to a log-normal (Gaussian in log ?) distribution and is found to be dependent on temperature.
