In this study, we tested whether white and yellow morphs of the common wall lizard (Podarcis muralis) adopt alternative strategies shaped by the immuno‐competence handicap hypotheses (ICHH). We found that testosterone‐induced immune suppression was stronger in white males, while aggression decreased in both morphs.

This study highlights the importance of the unprotected Yabassi Key Biodiversity Area, Cameroon, for primate conservation in the Gulf of Guinea biodiversity hotspot. We modelled primate distribution patterns and found that historically overlooked parts of the landscape have high species richness and are critical for some threatened species.

Abstract Land subsidence threatens the living conditions of about 1.2 billion people worldwide in deltaic regions characterized by soft top soil. Economic activity in these areas requires lowering groundwater levels to keep the land sufficiently dry, which leaves future generations worse off by accelerating subsidence and increasing future costs.
