Causes of the Abnormally Strong Easterly Phase of the Mesopause Semiannual Oscillation During the March Equinox of 2023 Revealed by a New Reanalysis Data Covering the Entire Middle Atmosphere

open access: yesGeophysical Research Letters, Volume 52, Issue 7, 16 April 2025.
Abstract During the March equinox of 2023, a strong easterly wind of ∼80 m s−1 appeared at an altitude of ∼82 km in the equatorial upper mesosphere, which is regarded as an enhancement of the mesopause semi‐annual oscillation. In this study, a new reanalysis data available up to 110 km was used to investigate its momentum budget.

Sensitivity Analysis in OLAP Databases

open access: yesProceedings of the 20th International Conference on Enterprise Information Systems, 2018
The theoretical underpinnings under which sensitivity analysis is valid in OLAP databases are dealt with in this paper. Sensitivity analysis is considered to be the reverse of explanation generation in diagnostic reasoning. Our exposition differentiates between sensitivity analysis in systems of purely drill-down equation and mixed systems of equations

Optimistic Multigranulation Roughness of Spherical Fuzzy Set Based on Soft Binary Relations and Its Applications to Multicriteria Decision‐Making Problems

open access: yesJournal of Function Spaces, Volume 2025, Issue 1, 2025.
A multigranulation roughness over dual universes establishes a unique viewpoint on the mixture of multigranulation data. Spherical fuzzy set is an extension of all existing theories such as fuzzy set, pythagorean fuzzy set, intuitionistic fuzzy set, and picture fuzzy set.

Enhanced calendar support for temporal datacube queries

open access: yesTransactions in GIS, Volume 28, Issue 7, Page 2089-2112, November 2024.
Abstract A significant share of our data are timeseries. Time can occur as the single dimension, or further (such as spatial) dimensions can be present as well, leading to multidimensional data such as 3D x/y/t satellite image timeseries or 4D x/y/z/t atmospheric simulations like weather forecasts.

Representing dynamic dimensions in OLAP cubes [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
Two well-known approaches to modelling the dynamic dimensions are considered: a model with many-to-many relationship between the dimension hierarchy elements as well as Slowly Changing Dimensions.

Approximate Query Processing: What is New and Where to Go?

open access: yesData Science and Engineering, 2018
Online analytical processing (OLAP) is a core functionality in database systems. The performance of OLAP is crucial to make online decisions in many applications.

XQuery & OLAP

open access: yes, 2009
Online Analytical Processing on XML became a topic in the database research community, which is mostly due to the possibilities of XML to overcome the constraints of the relational multidimensional model. This pager gives an overview of changes and challenges in terms of storing multidimensional heterogeneous data in XML and how to query it.

Analyse multigraduelle OLAP

open access: yesCoRR, 2010
Decisional systems are based on multidimensional databases improving OLAP analyses. The paper describes a new OLAP operator named "BLEND" to perform multigradual analyses. The operation transforms multidimensional structures during querying in order to analyse measures according to various granularity levels, which are reorganised into a single ...
