Complete Dispersion Characterization of Few Mode Fibers by OLCI Technique

Journal of Lightwave Technology, 2015
Few-mode optical fibers (FMFs) are useful for many applications such as space-division-multiplexing (SDM), high laser power generation and transport, dispersion compensation, etc. The emergence of SDM induces considerable requirements in terms of FMF characterization (chromatic dispersion, birefringence, modal content, bending losses).

Seamless observations of chlorophyll-a from OLCI and VIIRS measurements in inland lakes

Water Research
The Visible Infrared Imaging Radiometer Suite (VIIRS) and Ocean and Land Colour Instrument (OLCI) are two main instruments for the ocean color community to observe the global lake environment in the following decades. Despite their applications to retrieve various water optical parameters, the spatial and temporal resolutions of individual sensors ...

Potential retrieval of biophysical parameters from FLORIS, S3-OLCI and its synergy

2012 IEEE International Geoscience and Remote Sensing Symposium, 2012
The main objective of FLEX is the measurement of vegetation chlorophyll fluorescence (Fs) from space and the exploitation of this signal to better understand the carbon cycle. FLuORescence Imaging Spectrometer (FLORIS) is the main instrument of the FLEX mission concept.

An optimized Chlorophyll a switching algorithm for MERIS and OLCI in phytoplankton-dominated waters

Remote Sensing of Environment, 2018
Abstract Productive upwelling zones such as the southern Benguela can exhibit phytoplankton biomass variability over several orders of magnitude, from near oligotrophic offshore waters to hypertrophic inshore blooms of >100 mg m −3. This introduces complexity for ocean colour applications such as Harmful Algal Bloom (HAB) monitoring.

Assessing the Baltic Sea Water Quality with Sentinel-3 OLCI Imagery

2018 IEEE/OES Baltic International Symposium (BALTIC), 2018
ESA Copernicus program will secure availability of satellite data for monitoring European seas during coming decades. The main sensor for water quality remote sensing will be OLCI on Sentinel-3 satellites. Sentinel-3A and 3B have been launched and the follow-up sensors are in preparation process.

Satellite remote sensing of turbidity in Lake Xingkai using eight years of OLCI observations

Journal of Environmental Management
In the context of global climate change and land use change, both of which significantly affect lake ecosystems, rainfall and wind conditions play a crucial role in lake mixing processes. Furthermore, land use changes impact water quality through modifications in runoff and sediment inputs.
