Optimizing OLED performance on polyimide substrates: Evaluation of ITO and organic layer thicknesses with different encapsulation materials

open access: yesETRI Journal
We investigate the electro-optical properties of indium tin oxide (ITO) transparent electrodes on polyimide (PI) and glass substrates and their impact on organic light-emitting diode (OLED) performance.

Biointegrated Multilayer Stretchable OLED Platform With Strain‐Decoupled Architecture for Durable Phototherapeutic Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A multilayer stretchable organic light‐emitting diode (SOLED) patch enables conformal, high‐fill‐factor phototherapeutic illumination through vertically decoupled electrodes and robust encapsulation. The textile‐based SOLED platform delivers stable skin‐contact red light for wearable phototherapy and 5‐aminolevulinic acid (ALA)‐mediated photodynamic ...

Synergistic Interface Engineering via Buffer Layer and UVO Treatment for High‐Performance PbS Quantum Dot Near‐Infrared Photodiodes

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A dual‐interface strategy combining a solvent‐orthogonal Poly‐TPD buffer with UV–ozone tuning of PbS‐EDT reconstructs interfacial energetics and defect chemistry in PbS CQD photodiodes. The optimized interface suppresses shunt‐ and trap‐related leakage, reduces noise, and enables high‐detectivity near‐infrared detection with imaging capability ...

Efficient Polaron Recombination and Fast Energy Transfer in a Deep Blue Phosphorescent Pt(II) Complex via Covalently Fused p‐Type Host

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Achieving high‐efficiency deep‐blue phosphorescent OLEDs is limited by intermolecular kinetic bottlenecks. We overcome this using a single‐molecule fused emitter architecture, Pt‐SP‐tCz, combining a p‐type host and Pt(II) dopant. This design enables zero‐radius intramolecular energy transfer (ZRIET) and a novel ZETPLEX mechanism.

Simultaneous Emission AC-OLED Pixel Circuit for Extended Lifetime of OLED Display

open access: yesIEEE Journal of the Electron Devices Society, 2018
This paper demonstrates a pixel circuit of seven thin film transistors (TFTs) and two capacitors that drives an AC driven OLED (AC-OLED) at a simultaneous emission scheme. Because the AC-OLED is composed of two OLED units connected in opposite directions,

Wafer‐Scale Atomically‐Thin Gold: Transferable Platform for Flexible Optoelectronics, Thermal Management and Bio‐Interfaces

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Combining template stripping with a graphene‐inspired transfer yields continuous, transferable gold films at 6‐inch wafer scale with thicknesses approaching the atomic limit. The atomically smooth, near‐bulk‐quality films offer above 86% transmittance and sub‐20 Ω/square sheet resistance, serving as a universal platform for flexible optoelectronics ...

Planar Chiral Carbazole‐Naphthalene Bisimide Hetero‐Cyclophane for Circularly Polarized Delayed Fluorescence

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
Tightly stacked carbazole and 1,2:5,6–naphthalene bisimide units afforded a planar chiral hetero‐cyclophane. The architecturally refined system, with strong charge‐transfer interaction and enhanced structural rigidity, exhibits orange‐red delayed CPL emission in both solution and solid states.
