Combinational synthesis of oligonucleotides and assembly fabrication of oligonucleotide array [PDF]

open access: possibleColloids and Surfaces B: Biointerfaces, 2005
In this paper, a simple, reliable and flexible method, which integrated in situ synthesis with the spotting technique, was reported to fabricate oligonucleotide array. Different oligonucleotide sequences are synthesized on their relative code glass slides through combinational chemistry, thus the slides are broken into smaller pieces, in which the same

Synthesis of Oligonucleotides and Oligonucleotide Analogues

1989
The aim of this review is to outline modern methods for synthesizing natural oligodeoxynucleotides and certain analogues that may be inhibitors of gene expression. As a consequence, several DNA chemical synthesis methodologies such as the phosphate diester and phosphate triester approaches, which are now primarily only of historical interest, will not ...

Immunostimulatory Oligonucleotides

Recent Patents on Inflammation & Allergy Drug Discovery, 2011
RNA-protein interactions have been characterized often. Above all, the proteins which are associated with the studied RNA should be precisely identified. The pharmaceutical compositions containing nucleic acids and/or other compounds can be administered by any suitable route for administering medications. The immunostimulatory oligonucleotides play the

Oligonucleotide synthesis

2003
Publisher Summary Oligonucleotides (oligos) are synthetic, short, ssDNA molecules used as probes, primers, or as the building blocks for longer DNA strands. The most popular type of chemistry for making oligonucleotides uses the phosphoramidite method, in which building of the nt chain starts on a column carrying the first 3' base.

Oligonucleotide therapeutics

Trends in Biotechnology, 1992
Recent studies have focused on the ability of oligonucleotides to affect the genetic processes of many organisms, including viruses. Hence, oligonucleotides may represent a future source of biotechnologically derived compounds of therapeutic importance for diseases such as cancer and AIDS.

Titanocene binding to oligonucleotides

Journal of Inorganic Biochemistry, 2018
The binding of titanocene to DNA and RNA was examined by means of electrospray mass spectrometry. Titanocene served as a model for its therapeutically active derivatives. The binding preferences were probed by competition experiments with oligonucleotides of varying nucleobase compositions and sequences.

Oligonucleotide therapy

Current Opinion in Biotechnology, 1992
Rapid progress in oligonucleotide therapeutics has continued over the past year as major programs established in the past four years have grown and begun to be productive. Important advances were reported in the medicinal chemistry of oligonucleotides and in understanding their pharmacodynamic properties.

Oligonucleotide Microarrays:  Immobilization of Phosphorylated Oligonucleotides on Epoxylated Surface

Bioconjugate Chemistry, 2006
A facile and efficient method for direct immobilization of phosphorylated oligonucleotides on an epoxy-activated glass surface is described. The new immobilization strategy has been analyzed for its performance in DNA microarray under both microwave and thermal conditions.
