Catalytic Oligopeptide Synthesis

Organic Letters, 2018
Waste-free catalytic assembly of α-amino acids is fueled by a multiboron catalyst that features a characteristic B3NO2 heterocycle, providing a versatile catalytic protocol wherein functionalized natural α-amino acid units are accommodated and commonly used protecting groups are tolerated.

Pepstatin A: Polymerization of an oligopeptide

Micron, 1994
Pepstatin A, a pentapeptide with the molecular weight of 686, is a naturally occurring inhibitor of aspartyl proteases secreted by Streptomyces species. Above a critical concentration of 0.1 mM at low ionic strength and neutral pH, it can polymerize into filaments which may extend over several micrometers.

EFFECT OF SYNTHETIC OLIGOPEPTIDES ON OSTEOPOROSIS

Preparative Biochemistry & Biotechnology, 2002
The objective of this study was to establish the solution method of GHRPS, the synthetic oligopeptides Tyr-Gly-Gly-Phe-Met-NH2, Tyr-Gly-Gly-Phe-Met-OH, Tyr-Gly-Gly-Phe-Leu-NH2, Tyr-Gly-Gly-Phe-Leu-OH, Tyr-Gly-Gly-Phe-Gly-NH2, and Tyr-Gly-Gly-Phe-Gly-OH, to verify their effect on osteoporosis. Male ICR mice (20+/-2 g) were used.

Electronic structure analysis of glycine oligopeptides and glycine–tryptophan oligopeptides

Physica E: Low-Dimensional Systems and Nanostructures, 2014
Abstract Using the density functional theory (DFT), we have studied the energy gap, charge distribution, density of states and chemical activity of glycine (Gn) oligopeptides and glycine–tryptophan (GWn) oligopeptides. The results show that: (1) with the increasing of Gn residues, the chemical activity of Gn oligopeptides focuses on the terminal ...

Interaction of Oligopeptides with Heparin

Macromolecular Symposia, 1998
Macromolecular drugs, such as heparin and insulin, are easily degraded by acids and enzymes in the GI tract and do not readily penetrate the lipophilic biomembranes, resulting in low bioavailability by the oral route.1–3 Currently, these drugs have to be administered by injections. Proteinoids,4–8 which can form microspheres with certain macromolecular
