Mechanisms of Degradation in Li‐Ion Batteries Under Low Temperature Exposures

Low‐temperature exposures, or freeze‐thaw cycles, are observed to significantly accelerate the degradation of Li‐ion batteries. A combination of electrolyte phase separation and mechanochemical stress leads to reversible and irreversible performance losses.

These findings confirm that the Campanian‐aged Bozbent Member turbiditic sequence in the Eastern Pontides was deposited in an extensional fore‐arc basin and therefore exhibits the petrographic and geochemical characteristics of passive margin sandstones.
