Prostaglandin D2 effects and DP1/DP2 receptor distribution in guinea pig urinary bladder out‐flow region

open access: yesJournal of Cellular and Molecular Medicine, Volume 21, Issue 2, Page 234-243, February 2017., 2017
Abstract The proximal urethra and urinary bladder trigone play important roles in continence. We have previously shown that PGD2 is released from guinea pig bladder urothelium/suburothelium and can inhibit detrusor contractile responses. We presently wished to investigate PGD2 actions in guinea pig out‐flow region and the distribution of DP1/DP2 ...

Intraspecific genotypic variability determines concentrations of key truffle volatiles

open access: yesNew Phytologist, Volume 194, Issue 3, Page 823-835, May 2012., 2012
Summary • Aroma variability in truffles has been attributed to maturation (Tuber borchii), linked to environmental factors (Tuber magnatum), but the involvement of genetic factors has been ignored. We investigated aroma variability in Tuber uncinatum, a species with wide distribution. Our aim was to assess aroma variability at different spatial scales (

A synthesis of RCTs on psychological interventions fostering strengths and virtues: Evidence from 21 systematic reviews

open access: yesApplied Psychology: Health and Well-Being, Volume 17, Issue 4, August 2025.
Abstract Research on mental health advocates the cultivation of character strengths to enhance well‐being. Linking the key physiological functions of essential micronutrients to their deficiency symptoms in plants

open access: yesNew Phytologist, Volume 242, Issue 3, Page 881-902, May 2024.
Summary In this review, we untangle the physiological key functions of the essential micronutrients and link them to the deficiency responses in plants. Knowledge of these responses at the mechanistic level, and the resulting deficiency symptoms, have improved over the last decade and it appears timely to review recent insights for each of them.
