An Improved Routing Protocol for Optimum Quality of Service in Device-to-Device and Energy Efficiency in 5G/B5G

open access: yesFuture Internet
Some challenges when implementing the optimized link state routing (OLSR) protocol on real-life devices and simulators are unmanageable: link quality, rapid energy depletion, and high processor loads.

QoS Routing and Performance Evaluation for Mobile Ad Hoc Networks using OLSR Protocol [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2011
Mobile Ad-Hoc network is a collection of mobile nodes in communication without using infrastructure. As the real-time applications used in today's wireless network grow, we need some schemes to provide more suitable service for them. We know that most of actual schemes do not perform well on traffic which is not strictly CBR.

Survey of Important Issues in UAV Communication Networks

open access: yes, 2016
Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) have enormous potential in the public and civil domains. These are particularly useful in applications where human lives would otherwise be endangered.

An optimized link state routing protocol for real-time application over Vehicular Ad-hoc Network

open access: yesAlexandria Engineering Journal, 2022
Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) provides good services through Vehicular Ad-hoc Networks (VANET) platform. These networks encounter various challenges to support voice calls with acceptable Quality of Service (QoS).

Investigating Quality Routing Link Metrics in Wireless Multi-hop Networks [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2013
In this paper, we propose a new Quality Link Metric (QLM), ``Inverse Expected Transmission Count (InvETX)'' in Optimized Link State Routing (OLSR) protocol. Then we compare performance of three existing QLMs which are based on loss probability measurements; Expected Transmission Count (ETX), Minimum Delay (MD), Minimum Loss (ML) in Static Wireless ...

Quality of Service-aware Security Framework for Mobile Ad hoc Networks using Optimized Link State Routing Protocol [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2020
All networks must provide an acceptable and desirable level of Quality of Service (QoS) to ensure that applications are well supported. This becomes a challenge when it comes to Mobile ad-hoc networks (MANETs). This paper presents a security framework that is QoS-aware in MANETs using a network protocol called Optimized Link State Routing Protocol ...

Ad Hoc网络中实现定位的OLSR协议研究

open access: yesGuangtongxin yanjiu, 2012

Simulation and Performance Analysis of MP-OLSR for Mobile Ad hoc Networks [PDF]

open access: yesIEEE WCNC 2008, Las Vegas : \'Etats-Unis d'Am\'erique (2008), 2009
Mobile ad hoc networks (MANETs) consist of a collection of wireless mobile nodes which dynamically exchange data without reliance on a fixed base station or a wired backbone network, which makes routing a crucial issue for the design of a ad hoc networks. In this paper we discussed a hybrid multipath routing protocol named MP-OLSR.

Interference and Bandwidth Adjusted (ETX) in Wireless Multi-hop Networks

open access: yes, 2010
In this paper, we propose a new quality link metric, interference and bandwidth adjusted ETX (IBETX) for wireless multi-hop networks. As MAC layer affects the link performance and consequently the route quality, the metric therefore, tackles the issue by
