Features of Anatomy of the Greater Omentum
The article has studied in detail the macro and microscopic anatomy of the greater omentum of a person. Variants, morphological, histotopographic features and ligament apparatus of the greater omentum are indicated.

Immunological Functions of the Omentum [PDF]
The omentum is a visceral adipose tissue with unique immune functions. Although it is primarily an adipose tissue, the omentum also contains lymphoid aggregates, called milky spots (MSs), that contribute to peritoneal immunity by collecting antigens, particulates, and pathogens from the peritoneal cavity and, depending on the stimuli, promoting a ...

CCDC80 suppresses high‐grade serous ovarian cancer migration via negative regulation of B7‐H3
PAX8 is a lineage‐specific master regulator of transcription in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSC) progression. We show for the first time that PAX8 facilitates proliferation and metastasis by repressing the cell autonomous tumor suppressor CCDC80 and inducing B7‐H3 expression.

Necropsy images of microspheres attached to the omentum.
A) The retrieved omentum is shown from dog #7 with microspheres scattered throughout the tissue. B) A higher magnification of the tissue from another animal illustrates the location of the microspheres (black arrows) and the surrounding blood supply with

This study identified a molecule named lncRSFD, which is highly expressed in sheep adipose tissues. The lncRSFD gene generates two distinct transcript variants via alternative splicing: lncRSFD‐L and lncRSFD‐S. Functionally, lncRSFD alternative splicing (lncRSFD‐L/S) promotes the proliferation, differentiation, and lipid metabolism of adipocytes ...

Laparoscopic omentoplasty and split skin graft for deep sternal wound infection and dehiscence patient [PDF]
Treatment of sternotomy dehiscence secondary to infection is complex. We describe a case where following debridement and negative pressure therapy the greater omentum was harvested laparoscopically, pedicled on the right gastroepiploic artery and ...
