Improvements to the OMI Near-uv Aerosol Algorithm Using A-train CALIOP and AIRS Observations
The height of desert dust and carbonaceous aerosols layers and, to a lesser extent, the difficulty in assessing the predominant size mode of these absorbing aerosol types, are sources of uncertainty in the retrieval of aerosol properties from near UV ...

ABSTRACT This study investigated the occurrence and whistle characteristics of small odontocetes in Wakasa Bay and Aso Bay, located in the coastal waters of the Sea of Japan, where ecological data are limited. Passive acoustic monitoring using A‐tag and SoundTrap was conducted from 2022 to 2024, with detections on 8.8% and 12.4% of monitoring days at ...

Abstract Tropospheric ozone influences Earth's radiative energy budget and has increased in recent decades. With initial‐condition ensembles from a single chemistry‐climate model, we show that global surface anthropogenic NOx emissions explain about 90% of the simulated 1995–2014 tropospheric ozone increase (1.8 DU) and that this increase exceeds those

Retrieving Hourly Aerosol Absorption From Space Using Physical Informed Deep Learning
Abstract Retrieving aerosol absorption properties, such as single scattering albedo (SSA) and absorption aerosol optical depth (AAOD) from single‐view satellite observations remains a significant challenge. This study introduces the Physics‐Informed Neural Network for Aerosols (PINA) framework to retrieve hourly aerosol absorption properties from ...

European NOx emissions in WRF-Chem derived from OMI: Impacts on summertime surface ozone
Ozone (O3) is a secondary air pollutant that negatively affects human and ecosystem health. Ozone simulations with regional air quality models suffer from unexplained biases over Europe, and uncertainties in the emissions of ozone precursor group ...

NBP counteracts PrP106‐126‐induced neurotoxicity by activating NRF2 and restoring OPA1/DRP1‐mediated mitochondrial dynamics. It suppresses oxidative stress and preserves mitochondrial function and bioenergetics. These actions support NBP as a promising therapeutic candidate for prion‐related neurodegeneration.

Booster mRNA Vaccination Prevents Breakthrough Severe COVID‐19 Infections
ABSTRACT This study aimed to assess the humoral immune response following administration of a BNT162b2 mRNA COVID‐19 booster dose and to evaluate its association with the development of SARS‐CoV‐2 infection after vaccination. Between July 2021 and February 2022, serum samples were collected from 313 individuals 28 days after receiving a COVID‐19 ...

The Ozone Monitoring Instrument (OMI) cloud and NO2 algorithms use a monthly gridded surface reflectivity climatology that does not depend upon the observation geometry. In reality, reflection of incoming direct and diffuse solar light from land or ocean

Statistical bias correction for creating coherent total ozone record from OMI and OMPS observations
A long-term coherent total column ozone (TCO) record is essential to ozone layer variability assessment, especially the detection of early signs of ozone recovery after years of depletion.

ABSTRACT In recent years, Peruvian coffee production has increasingly focused on specialty coffees, with cup quality (CQ) as a key criterion. While previous studies have characterized the Coffee Germplasm Collection of the National Institute of Agrarian Innovation (CGC‐INIA), few studies have analyzed coffee cup quality.
