Structural Basis for the Decarboxylation of Orotidine 5'-Monophosphate (OMP) by Plasmodium Falciparum OMP Decarboxylase

Journal of Biochemistry, 2007
Orotidine 5'-monophoshate decarboxylase (OMPDC) catalyses the decarboxylation of orotidine 5'-monophosphate (OMP) to uridine 5'-monophosphate (UMP). Here, we report the X-ray analysis of apo, substrate or product-complex forms of OMPDC from Plasmodium falciparum (PfOMPDC) at 2.7, 2.65 and 2.65 A, respectively.

A-OMP: An Adaptive OMP Algorithm for Underwater Acoustic OFDM Channel Estimation

IEEE Wireless Communications Letters, 2021
A fundamentally difficult problem to apply the orthogonal matching pursuit (OMP) to estimate the underwater acoustic (UWA) orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) channel is designing a proper iteration termination condition. However, existing OMP-based algorithms that design termination conditions based on the physical sparsity suffer the ...

OMP

Proceedings of the 4th international conference on Supercomputing, 1990
This paper presents the architectural design and RISC based implementation of a prototype supercomputer, namely the Orthogonal MultiProcessor (OMP). The OMP system is constructed with 16 Intel 1860 RISC microprocessors and 256 parallel memory modules, which are 2-D interleaved and orthogonally accessed using custom ...

OMP decarboxylase—An enigma persists

Bioorganic Chemistry, 2007
In 1995, Radzicka and Wolfenden reported that the rate enhancement produced by orotidine 5'-phosphate decarboxylase (ODCase) approaches 10(17), making this enzyme the most effective pure protein catalyst known in Nature [A. Radzicka, R. Wolfenden, Science 267 (1995) 90-93].

Planning with Multiple-Components in Omps

2008
This paper presents Omps, a new timeline-based software architecture for planning and scheduling whose features support software development for space mission planning applications. The architecture is based on the notions of domain components entities whose properties may vary in time and which model one or more physical subsystems which are relevant ...

Isolation and characterization of the Omp-PA porin from Porphyromonas asaccharolytica, determination of the omp-PA gene sequence and prediction of Omp-PA protein structure

Anaerobe, 2007
A single monomeric porin, Omp-PA (37kDa), was isolated from the outer membrane of the gram-negative anaerobic rod Porphyromonas asaccharolytica. Further characterization revealed that this porin consists of two different fractions: a heat-modifiable fraction which in its denatured form migrated on SDS-PAGE as a protein with a molecular weight of 41kDa ...

A new OMP technique for sparse recovery

2012 20th Signal Processing and Communications Applications Conference (SIU), 2012
Compressive Sensing (CS) theory details how a sparsely represented signal in a known basis can be reconstructed using less number of measurements. However in reality there is a mismatch between the assumed and the actual bases due to several reasons like discritization of the parameter space or model errors. Due to this mismatch, a sparse signal in the
