Research on an Absolute Radiometric Calibration Method Based on a Point Source Array

open access: yesRemote Sensing
Factors such as the optical point spread function (PSF), intrapixel sensitivity (IPS), and interpixel crosstalk of an imaging system can cause the response to point sources to vary with position, directly affecting the absolute radiometric calibration ...

Integration of OpenCV‐Based Microscopic Adhesive Volume Measurement Into a Pyiron Workflow for Automated Data Analysis

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Residual adhesive after electrode loading in adhesive‐assisted resistance spot welding is quantified through a traceable experimental‐to‐digital workflow. Chromatic confocal topography provides calibrated surface‐height data, while OpenCV detects the electrode imprint and integrates adhesive height into comparable volume metrics.

Microstructure Modification of Additively Manufactured Mo–9Si–8B by Annealing and Its Effects on High‐Temperature Mechanical Properties

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Postbuild annealing systematically modifies the phase fractions and morphology of EB‐PBF processed Mo–9Si–8B. Quantitative microstructure–property correlations reveal how controlled phase evolution enhances high‐temperature compressive strength and creep resistance.

Hardware-in-the-Loop Rendezvous Simulation Involving an Autonomous Guidance, Navigation and Control System [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
The rendezvous process is a key technology in multi-spacecraft missions like on-orbit servicing missions. An active spacecraft (chaser) approaches a passive spacecraft (target) in its orbit by performing controlled orbit and attitude maneuvers.
