Theoretical Model of Chemomechanical Self‐Oscillation in a Two‐Enzyme Core–Shell Hydrogel With pH‐Gated Microcapsules

open access: yesChemSystemsChem, Volume 8, Issue 5, September 2026.
A closed chemo‐mechanical feedback system is constructed using a GOx/urease core–shell hydrogel with pH‐responsive microcapsules. Proton generation triggers urea release, activating urease and restoring pH, resulting in autonomous swelling–deswelling oscillations.

Toward an Improved Understanding of the Antarctic Coastal Zone and Its Contribution to Future Global Sea Level

open access: yesReviews of Geophysics, Volume 64, Issue 3, September 2026.
Abstract Understanding the coastal zone of the Antarctic Ice Sheet (AIS), where it interacts with the Southern Ocean and warmer air masses, is crucial for predicting Antarctica's influence on the global climate and sea level. This region has multiple tipping mechanisms that could trigger large, rapid, and potentially irreversible changes in the AIS ...

Correlation of High‐Latitude Scintillation With Auroral Precipitation: Case Studies Using GNSS Radio Occultation Data From PlanetiQ

open access: yesSpace Weather, Volume 24, Issue 9, September 2026.
Abstract This study presents a survey of high‐latitude ionospheric scintillation using GNSS radio occultation (RO) data from the PlanetiQ satellite. The analysis examines 483 high‐latitude RO tracks between January and May 2023, with 371 tracks exhibiting scintillation events.

Interferometric Synthetic Aperture Radar (InSAR) for Monitoring Seasonal Snow

open access: yesWater Resources Research, Volume 62, Issue 9, September 2026.
Abstract Interferometric Synthetic Aperture Radar (InSAR) offers a potential pathway for measuring seasonal snow water equivalent (SWE) and snow depth at spatial and temporal scales needed for basin‐scale hydrology. First proposed for seasonal snow more than 25 years ago, InSAR uses repeat‐pass radar phase differences to estimate changes in SWE or ...

First Observational Results of the Neutral Gas Mass Spectrometer Onboard the China's TianMu‐1 Constellation

open access: yesEarth and Space Science, Volume 13, Issue 9, September 2026.
Abstract In situ observations of thermospheric composition have long been scarce, limiting our understanding of the upper atmosphere and its response to space weather. This study focuses on the Neutral Gas Mass Spectrometer (NGMS) onboard the TM19 and TM20 satellites of China's TianMu‐1 constellation, presenting the first systematic elaboration of its ...
