ABSTRACT Schistosomiasis in Indonesia is caused by the trematode worm S. japonicum, with the snail Oncomelania hupensis lindoensis as the intermediate host. To eliminate schistosomiasis by 2020, cross-sectoral schistosomiasis control is carried out, including implementing environmental management based on the results of mapping the focus areas ...

Utilization of EfficientNet-B0 to Identify Oncomelania Hupensis Lindoensis as a Schistosomiasis Host
Schistosomiasis caused by the Schistosoma japonicum worm is a significant health problem in Indonesia, especially in endemic areas such as the Napu Plateau and Bada Plateau. The main problem in controlling this disease is the difficulty in rapid and accurate identification of Oncomelania hupensis lindoensis snails as intermediate hosts of the parasite.

In Indonesia schistosomiasis is caused by Schistosoma japonicum with O.h.lindoensis snails as an intermediate host. For that we need to do research on the level of DNA polymorphism O.h.lindoensis snails. One method used is the technique of Random Amplified Polymerase ChainReaction (RAPD-PCR). Thereforewe need a proper method of DNA extraction aswell as
