A Power-Efficient 16-bit 1-MS/s Successive Approximation Register Analog-to-Digital Converter with Digital Calibration in 0.18 μm Complementary Metal Oxide Semiconductor

open access: yesJournal of Low Power Electronics and Applications
A power-efficient 16-bit 1-MS/s successive approximation register (SAR) analog-to-digital converter (ADC) is presented in this paper. High-bit sampling makes the bridge capacitance in the digital-to-analog converter (DAC) a unit one, eliminating ...

MN-ADC based on high-reliable 2T2R synapse structure

open access: yesAIP Advances, 2022
With the ever-growing demands for sampling rate, conversion resolution, as well as lower energy consumption, the memristor-based neuromorphic analog-to-digital converters (MN-ADC) becomes one of the most potential approaches to break the bottleneck for ...

Design Space Exploration of Single-Lane OFDM-Based Serial Links for High-Speed Wireline Communications

open access: yesIEEE Open Journal of Circuits and Systems, 2022
The 4-level pulse-amplitude modulation (PAM-4) with an analog-digital converter (ADC)-based receiver (RX) has become the most commonly employed modulation for ultra-high-speed serial links with the data rate above 100 Gb/s.

Longitudinal circulating tumor DNA profiling in patients with advanced endometrial cancer using an off‐the‐shelf targeted NGS panel

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Intratumour heterogeneity complicates precision management of advanced endometrial cancer. Circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) offers a minimally invasive strategy to capture tumor evolution and therapeutic resistance. Here, we compare tumor‐agnostic NGS with tumor‐informed ddPCR, outlining their relative sensitivity, concordance, and clinical implications ...

Area-efficient readout with 14-bit SAR-ADC for CMOS image sensors

open access: yesMATEC Web of Conferences, 2016
This paper proposes a readout design for CMOS image sensors. It has been squeezed into a 7.5um pitch under a 0.28um 1P3M technology. The ADC performs one 14-bit conversion in only 1.5us and targets a theoretical DNL feature about +1.3/-1 at 14-bit ...

All‐in‐One Analog AI Hardware: On‐Chip Training and Inference with Conductive‐Metal‐Oxide/HfOx ReRAM Devices

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
An all‐in‐one analog AI accelerator is presented, enabling on‐chip training, weight retention, and long‐term inference acceleration. It leverages a BEOL‐integrated CMO/HfOx ReRAM array with low‐voltage operation (<1.5 V), multi‐bit capability over 32 states, low programming noise (10 nS), and near‐ideal weight transfer.

Integration of Low‐Voltage Nanoscale MoS2 Memristors on CMOS Microchips

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This article presents the first monolithic integration of nanoscale MoS2‐based memristors into the back‐end‐of‐line of foundry‐fabricated CMOS microchips in a one‐transistor‐one‐resistor (1T1R) architecture. The MoS2‐based 1T1R cells exhibit forming‐free, nonvolatile resistive switching with ultra‐low operating voltages, low cycle‐to‐cycle variability ...

Humidity and temperature sensor system demonstrator with NFC tag for HySiF applications [PDF]

open access: yesAdvances in Radio Science, 2018
Hybrid System-in-Foil (HySiF) is one of the emerging branches of flexible electronics in which ultra-thin silicon chips are integrated with flexible sensors in polymeric foils (Elsobky et al. 2018; Alavi et al. 2018).

Self‐Sintering Ionogel Binder for Flexible, Recyclable, and Healable Printed Giant Magnetoresistive Sensors

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Electronic waste has emerged as a major environmental challenge, driven by the massive consumption and a limited lifetime of modern electronic devices, stimulating the development of sustainable electronics. Here, an all‐biomaterial gelatin‐choline‐citric acid ([Ch][CA]) ionogel is developed as an active binder to realize self‐sintered ...
