Safety and pharmacokinetics of mosliciguat, a new, inhaled soluble guanylate cyclase activator, in healthy adult subjects

Abstract Aim Mosliciguat (BAY 1237592), the first soluble guanylate cyclase (sGC) activator in a dry powder inhaler (DPI), could potentially treat pulmonary hypertension with a more targeted delivery than systemic sGC stimulators. We report safety and tolerability of mosliciguat in healthy men.

Compliant hydrogel cuff coating with real‐time pressure monitoring and antibiofilm capabilities for ventilator‐associated pneumonia prophylaxis

A soft‐compliant hydrogel cuff coating combines real‐time pressure monitoring with intrinsic antibacterial activity for prophylaxis of ventilator‐associated pneumonia. A flexible pressure‐sensing patch is embedded in the coating to enable wireless dynamic monitoring of endotracheal cuff pressure through Bluetooth.
